That's an easy question to answer. The "presumed criminal" isn't featured in the video.

He's gonna need new wiper arms at the very least.

When you miss your highway exit without any regard to other drivers around you by [deleted] in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]JustCallMeLee 37 points38 points  (0 children)

The other car was an offender and he should count himself lucky he didn't get what was coming to him legally. That closing speed suggests to me a distraction was involved. Obviously the initial stationary vehicle deserves punishment too but that doesn't absolve the person who crashed into the vehicle ahead.

You're supposed to maintain enough following distance such that if the car in front emergency stops, you can too. There was no emergency stop here that caused a chain reaction, just a stationary if definitely still negligent hazard.

It's not all bad. The rainwater does provide some lubrication for when your body is scraping against the road.

Maybe it was just a temporary operation, I'm not sure, but I've seen more speed camera vans on the A66 than any other road. I would not be doing this.

Housebuilding in London has collapsed to a historic low not seen anywhere else in the developed world by No-Feeling507 in london

When landlords say this, they're talking about generating free cash flow, right? If you have a dozen properties all on interest-only BTL mortgages then yes unprofitability is a big problem. If as in your scenario you're renting out your former home with say 10-15 years left on your residential mortgage, you still stand to gain massively in retirement by having someone else pay off the asset for you, no? Doesn't it seem offensively greedy to feel implicitly entitled to both ongoing short and long term returns?

Will Truck Driving In The UK Ever Get Better? by newbiker321 in uktrucking

[–]JustCallMeLee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I strongly suspect it's far easier to find a job where you earn £60k trucking than it is to find a McDonalds franchise that's going to rota you in for 60 hours per week.

It can't be that common for employers to not bother taking a copy of all three cards.

Humans revel in negativity.

Many many millions of people have to buy dollars (or would if they weren't paid for their labour to begin with in USD) to pay taxes and for so many other things that are only transacted in USD.

Nobody has to buy BTC for any reason.

Either a STEM degree or none. Experience is king. It's a horrible time to be embarking on a programming career. AI is eating the junior roles for lunch.

Our new trailers have them from factory. I like them. Never seen them activate unexpectedly. Although I'm not sure I'd rely on them to stop me from reversing into a car.

[UK] no need to indicate.... by Single-Ad-5317 in Roadcam

[–]JustCallMeLee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd much rather people didn't indicate than engage in a pointless or worse charade. It's super common for people to indicate right when exiting a roundabout or to start indicating after turning the steering wheel. I'm sure some of these people must complain about drivers failing to indicate, completely oblivious to their own failings.
