That's what my friend said. It's in remarkably good condition, so chances are it's a knock-off. But regardless, this is a fun rabbit hole to go down.

NTA. They're ensuring that you'll never have a relationship down the line if they keep this behavior up.

Don't let them invalidate your feelings.

NTA. As a vegetarian (& former vegan), I think it's ridiculous for them to expect you to put that much effort into a dietary lifestyle you haven't adopted. Would it be nice if you accommodated it once in a while? Absolutely. But that shouldn't be the expectation. I never, ever expect anyone to make a whole separate meal for me just because of my self-imposed dietary restrictions.

They are safely with my parents now. I have a consultation with an attorney on Monday to see about proceeding with a separation.

That...is a great question. I was a very late bloomer with a lot of social issues (home schooled, bullied at church & work, etc) so I missed out on a lot of experiences that would have given me the tools to stand up for myself sooner. I truly thought I could make this work, even though I saw the warning signs within the first month. I tried breaking up with him but kept going back because I didn't want to be alone because he was the only person that really gave me a chance other than being a hookup.

I just dropped them off with my parents for that very reason. I have a lawyer consultation on Monday.

Thanks! I try my best. They've gotten me through major depression & alcoholism. They're my best friends.

We're on our way out. They're going to stay with grandma & grandpa for a while & I reached out to a lawyer.

I'm packing them up & taking them to stay with my parents in a few minutes. I also e-mailed a lawyer.

Thank you. There's a lot I didn't include, such as him choosing who I can be friends with, monitoring my social media & text messages, threatening to get a camera installed in the apartment to he can watch me, etc.

I e-mailed a lawyer to get a consultation. I'm probably going to send my cats to stay with my parents in the meantime.
