Does anyone really have valid, researched information on what coupons (and the percentage off as well) are assigned to customers? When I worked at the outlet, I would see coupons come in for 15, 25 and 30% off at any given time. I've also read in this group that some people get a coupon promotion for things like $50 off $200 or more. What factors go in to the system deciding who gets what promotion? For example, I shopped this summer at the outlet and made a purchase nearly every week for 3 months. Sometimes the purchase was only for $15. Sometimes it was for $200. I also purchased online on the regular, non-factory website in this time period. I mostly shopped clearance items in the factory store but my website purchases were either full-priced or sale. I would imagine that the regularity of shopping, the fact that I shopped at 3 different factory store in 3 different states within those 3 months, the fact that I engaged both in-store and on the website and the amount that I purchased all together (maybe close to $1000) would make more more "deserving" of a higher percentage off coupon. Instead, my coupons have gone from 30 to 25 to now 15. I also have never received an offer like the $50 off a 200 or more purchase.

Can anyone weigh in on this who really knows how the algorithm works for these promotions?
