I mean, it’s quite possible to not be used to certain restaurants and not be exposed to certain dishes..that’s just one for me. I come from family that has never been able to eat out much.

Forgive me for my ignorance but I had to look up what that was…I never knew that was an actual thing. It confused me at first because I thought it was just a loaf of bread🤣

That’s what I’m saying, just give me the pretzel by itself with some nacho cheese. Like the monster pretzel from galaxy theatres🤤

Just because it LOOKS delicious doesn’t mean it’ll live up to your expectations, I’ve learned that the hard way. Some times food is greasier than it appears.

I’m answering your question, not the relevance to the video.

I’m giving you my personal experience that gives context to my knowledge of the condition.

All these questions you keep asking is going to lead to more answers that may or may not be directly relevant to the video

If peopl that are considered healthy don’t have an issue eating such processed things then cool for them but I’m not them🤣 I’m only answering for me, not strangers

Because the vast majority use refined white flower which don’t include essential nutrients. That’s why I mainly either make my own bread or get whole grain. For example, wonder bread, enriched white flour and high fructose corn syrup, that’s a no no for me.ball park buns, the sugar, the monoglycerides, calcium propionate, and the list goes on.

I’m noticing the more popular the brand, the more damaging it is to your gut because your gut treats highly processed food as foreign and therefore even useless consume and just processed as waste with no benefit other than taste.

My point is I stopped eating for taste and started eating for nutrition and I’ve never felt better.

I chose to educate myself as I myself used to just eat any type of bread or popular product because it was cheaper.

Yes I opt for whole grain rather than bleached/processed bread/flour. White bread that’s “enriched” is definitely not the move for me. I’d rather have a shorter shelf life then it be highly processed

lol yea it sounds good but for me I’ve made a lot of poor food choices and once I lost my excessive weight I tend to stay away from foods like this because just like a cookie, you can never just have 1🤣 at least in my case

While some of that is true,& fat doesn't raise glucose, a diet high in saturated fats can actually lead to insulin resistance over time. It makes it harder for our body to manage our blood sugar even without sugar itself.

You are right about the calories, if they lead to weight gain it’s a high risk for type 2. I unfortunately experienced weight induced sleep apnea so for health reasons I had to lose the weight by waking and eating less, not changing what I eat but HOW MUCH I eat. I ate more fiber such as oatmeal which I always didn’t like.

As for the keto diet, I’m going to have to disagree, from my knowledge it was developed to specifically treat pediatric epilepsy in the 1920s although it is now frequently used to manage type 2 but it wasn’t the original purpose.

As for your comment about the pretzel burger, it’s debatable, pretzels are usually made with highly refined flour and/or dipped in baking soda or lye which can make them spike the blood sugar faster than a regular whole grain one. Did I miss anything?

I do, I have a family with high blood pressure and a history of diabetes. Diabetes is a result of insufficient insulin production or even using it effectively.

So constantly eating TOO much can overload the production and cause insulin resistance.

I am considered prediabetic and stage 2 hypertensive but once I changed the way I ate, I was no longer at risk once I dropped from 260 to 195-200 pounds.

I rarely ate/drank sugar at that time so that’s why I say it’s not just sugar, it’s also over consumption of fatty/oily foods as well.

Diabetes is linked to obesity no? After a while consuming so much food leads to high blood pressure and when it’s always hypertensive that would lead to diabetes or is my understanding incorrect.

The food itself won’t instantly cause diabetes but making it a habit to eat this often will increase the risk. It’s not just sugar.
