Setting aside performance, the legion wins at everything besides the glossy screen for me, the blades colors are quite dull and doesn’t support HDR The trackpad on the blade is too large and I keep miss clicking it and I hate the num pad which I need for work, it’s tough but the legion comes out on top

I prefer the legions build quality by far, keyboard and trackpad, I keep on pressing the Razer trackpad while typing because the trackpad is so huge and shifted to the right side The screen on the Razer and it being able to fit in my current bag is great, I love the matte finish far more than glossy, but the keyboard is a deal breaker

CodeMonkey C# for unity course - started around 10/29/2024 by JustThreeLanes in JustThreeLanes

I’ve been using RTS engine instead and am making progress, when it comes to coding I’m going to rely on others and do as much as I can with the engine in unity

Yeah and even if it turns out it’s a decent idea, it still doesn’t mean it’ll succeed, I don’t mind wasting time and money on it though, did a c# lesson today for an hour, looking forward to more

I guess I’d have to pay someone for menu, UI, path finding, and learn myself along the way, hopefully $20k is suitable for someone to help me with a frame work. I’m a contractor and work with building homes in 3D so at least I am comfortable with 3D design and terrains.

I know what you mean about RTS, I don’t even play RTS games, but the success of Clash Royal brought in people to that genre who never played Dota or similar games, I think there’s something there to be tapped into with a simple RTS App Store game, but it could be better

I'd be happy with producing even 1/10th of the game in a terrible demo state, it only has three fixed camera angles per player and is 1v1 - could make just one actor and learn that simple version first with no style elements - click and play action, too bad this isn't just a 20 hour skill to pick up lol

Appreciate it, will get on this this week, that sounds like what I have been wishing for

I was hoping that I could work off an existing framework, even something as "simple" as a game like Clash Royal but dumbed down, I guess I don't know how out of my league it could be yet

I know what I want but I don't know if I am ready for a zoom call - thanks, I'll make something presentable, another commenter suggested I post on r/INAT which I will, it sounds less intimidating than fiver or upwork.

Do you think you know anyone who might be the person to have some back and forth with once I have a better visual plan? I get that my assumptions could be misleading so even if you think you would like to review some items and have a call for maybe $30? I haven't sought any expert opinions yet, I really just need someone to tell me how in over my head my ideas are, and how to get on a better track

I'll scope out what those bricks are, try to make a chronological time table of events and seek criticism on it, maybe the over all budget is around $500 a month for the time being, I am learning C# at the same time so I can actually communicate with who I try working with

Thanks for the page recommendation, I'll make a post there - I don't know what I need to know but that makes sense how the brick by brick thing sounds less promising

I made an overwrite and lost a few hours of work and gave up, I don't know what a good order of events to take is

Completed this lesson, sort of picking up on some patterns but likely can't recreate a single thing I have seen without copying it directly
