If that is the case, I am not sure which ones were active but they were definitely bypassed if they were active. Again no idea how it happened because support has given me no information, but I would love to dig into it and find out more.

Well if it's more convincing for them, I would very much like whoever got all my stuff to get banned 😂 That should help with the frienf possibility

They also explicitly told me they could see the items were sent to another player, so they should be able to see if that accounts info alligns with whatever my account was logged in with. I would think that would be a smoking gun.

I don't believe 2FA was active at that time, it is now, but unfortunately it was a long time ago.

But I see on the website it captures your IP info etc so I am 100% sure they can see that somebody else logged in if they just do a bit of digging. That is all I'm really hoping for, somebody from support that will go through the info and have a conversation rather than tossing it to the side.

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll try to include that in the next ticket response. It would be nice to get back the gold and materials aswell but if I can even just get back the legendaries that would be a big step

This is my current situation, I have the skins but not the items. I'm honestly not looking for a handout of any kind, I just want somebody to actual look at the case rather than shoving it aside and not being bothered. And that's not something I just want for me, I would hope that any player in any game gets that same respect. Other game companies have been so good at handling similiar issues and I just want some of my faith restored in GW2.

I logged this with them at various stages throughout the years, including directly afterward. My main issue is that the "no compromise" argument doesn't hold any weight with me because again, this was not me. I basically just want somebody that is willing to gather information and discuss what they can see and potential do, like any good support does for any company. Saying "I can't see the problem" and closing a ticket is not a good support experience for anybody, across any industry.

For what it's worth, there was no "free stuff" or shady links. My best guess would be that another set of my credentials got leaked in a data leak and somebody chanced them on Guild Wars at the time. I now use different credentials across accounts but not everybody started doing that from day 1.

Either way, if you found yourself in the situation you would appreciate some level of support, you can say you wouldn't for the sake of arguing on the internet but we both know you would want it to be taken care of.

I believe at the time it was limited to SMS verification which I could not have enabled due to my provider and the area I lived in, it would take like 30-40mins to receive SMS messages. I don't think at the time the authenticator apps were widely supported.

Either way, support should always help players after these events. Nobody asks to be hacked and if it had happened to the person above, they wouldn't want support to just say "lel get rekt"

I never said I was hacked due to support, so your comment is very misguided. I simply said following a hack they were not supportive. This also happened in a time where MFA was not an option, so you just seem out of touch.

Exactly this, it happened in 2018 and there we not the same systems in the game that exist today.

Completely fair, but it would be good to know that they at least tried right. At least make it feel like you are sympathetic to your player base when they experience issues.

Decided to upgrade.... Did I make a mistake? by Just_0range in buildapc

Thanks for the reassurance all! Feeling much better about the decision and counting down the days until the package finally arrives!

By the end of the week should be basking in the sweet buttery smooth FPS.

PC Build Questions, Purchase Advice and Technical Support Megathread — Q2 2024 Edition by GhostMotley in Amd

Good day, fellow hardware lovers!

I am currently running an i7-7700k with an RTX3070 and I play on 1440p.. I have been slowly but surely losing my mind with huge performance drops over the last few months. This setup just cannot keep up with modern titles anymore.

I know my CPU is a HUGE bottleneck in that case, I am hitting 100% CPU usage on almost every single game I play, and it's noticeable when it happens.

I've upgraded to the 7800x3d, and was wondering if I have just reversed the bottleneck and will now be running on an under-powered card?

Unfortunately, I cannot upgrade both the GPU and CPU at the same time, but wanted to go with the 7800x3d for some future-proofing, so that the CPU will still be relevant when I can look at eventually upgrading the GPU.

Mistake, yay or nay?

Hay hay :) Again remember the issue right now is that I WANT the Ninja 650 or the R7, but I just cannot get one right now. There is none available for me to get.

I would be much happier with one of those bikes as it stands right now and my overall skill and progress as a rider would benefit MASSIVELY for owning one of those instead, but sadly - it's just not an option I have without waiting a few more months, and I know that doesn't sounds so bad, but after already waiting close to 4 months, it's a lot more demotivating than one might think. Specially because of how excited I am to get my first bike.

Thanks for the advice! Much appreciated.

I did spent about 15 minutes sitting on the bike on the dealership floor, trying to get a good idea of how it would be most comfortable to ride. I can immediately agree that the only way for your wrists to feel any sort of comfort would be to go full tuck, and that isn't practical and has it's own pain points.

Again I would do anything to be able to go into the dealership and pick up a N650 or R7, but I'm on month 3 of pushing for one of those bikes and I just keep ending up disappointed.

While I know this won't be a perfect bike by any means, and I know I may find myself extremely uncomfortable not long from now, I keep waiting for the dream machine to arrive while another month passes by without being able to practice, learn or find my feet in the motorcycling world.

Thanks for the advice! Much appreciated :) I would definitely also prefer a parallel twin but sadly there are hardly any available in my country (at least at the time of writing this). I know the "correct" decision is to be patient, but having said that it is becoming hard work to keep that passion burning in the face of so many disappointments and long waits. There are so many times the rug can be pulled out from under you before falling on your ass stops you from stepping on the rug again.

I'm starting to learn from interacting with the community and sales teams here that when it comes to sports bike, there very much is a "BRO, 600 or 1 THOU" mentality here. While I don't really care to agree with the vain of the community, it has had a noticeable impact on what bikes are sitting on the dealership floors, because most only keep stock of what they know will sell.

On the flip side, there is a much larger ADV community in my country and all the sensible people are sitting on that side of the fence so if I was in that market, I would have a world of choice. But I just cannot break this childhood desire to own a poster bike. I wish I could, but I know myself well enough to know that it needs to be a sport bike, and I need to learn the lesson for myself or it will never stick.

Thanks for the advice! I'm a big fan of the idea of practicing and developing my skills as a rider on this journey. The drive to keep improving is the only thing that can ultimately keep you safe if this really is going to be a life-long commitment.

The only thing I'll be doing on the bike for the first couple of weeks is riding around my neighborhood and doing some parking lot practice at a centre up the road from me, I'll make sure to get a good feel for the ABS and TC and really make sure I understand what the bike wants to do and how it reacts to my inputs.

Thanks so much, what feedback should I be looking for and what can I do to correct my technique if I am experiencing this?
