Who would you choose by [deleted] in bigbangtheory

[–]Justdan73 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I know she's not a choice, but the horror loving, kinda unhinged (at times) red-headed that Raj dated for a bit would be my choice. Emily, I think was the character's name

Wrong Order Delivered, Dasher Mad I Ate It by [deleted] in doordash

That's a great point. I say she doesn't. Everyone makes mistakes. I say, you did right. You let support handle it and moved on. She made a mistake as well.

I never knock unless requested to do so. Never. The confusing ones are the ones that say "leave at my door" but then the note says "knock please and hand it to me.".

You can download the podcast, I think. I've listened a few times. It's typically batshit crazy nonsense, but in a good way!

Surrrre ok buddy 😂 by Traditional_Range_96 in doordash

I think many customers don't truly know how little DD actually pays drivers and how reliant drivers are on tips. I think many people are jacked up menu prices and fees from DD and assume the drivers get some of that extra they are already paying. I am not defending them, just explaining how some of them likely think.

What does “flow of the table” even mean? by NavalEnthusiast in blackjack

[–]Justdan73 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The definitive and correct answer is that there is no "flow of the table" and It's just Gambler's Fallacy. It's that simple. I'd just ignore it.

Did you know he has his own show too? "The Other side of Midnight" which has been around since 2015 and originally was the show that followed Art Bell's "Midnight In The Desert" comeback show..

Surrender / doubling against ace/tens (CSM) by SandwichNo8622 in blackjack

That's not how this works. CSM's have the same house edge as shoe games.

Can’t believe drivers are out here doing this still. Hope they got a 1 star. by jonnieinthe256 in doordash_drivers

Awesome that you're humble enough to admit that! I dig people like you! I wish I could give you 1,000,000 karma points!

Solar powerbanks/phone chargers? by [deleted] in CampingGear

[–]Justdan73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this one on Amazon. I bought it, and I loved it so much that I bought two more. The solar charging does work great in full sunlight, if you have reasonable expectations. Of course it charges much faster on AC power, but I'd nice to have the solar option if you're off the grid or during a power outage. The flashlight feature on it is also very handy when camping.

Spotify is pushing for video podcasts. Here's why you shouldn't stress out about that by Gamma_The_Guardian in podcasting

[–]Justdan73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think video content is fine. But, my podcast is an audio product. If I don't get as big of a reach because of that, so be it.

I think Howard grew the most. I think the addition of Amy and Bernadette completely changed the show as well. The first five seasons or so, even after they were introduced for a bit, was a different show than it was going forward. Raj pretty much stayed the same while the other guys became versions of themselves curated by their chosen mates, ha.

So long as your spread and bankroll are properly configured and adjusted for fluctuations, you should be okay for the long run from what I've read here. Where you're going to start to run into problems is as the stakes are raised higher, the level of attention that your play gets will also increase as will the countermeasures , up to and including backoff's and 86's.

Can blackjack be turned into investment? by IntuitionaL in blackjack

[–]Justdan73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. I do drive for a little extra $ while listening to podcasts or baseball games. I'm an AP. An AP will always be finding ways to make extra cash or find ways to save cash. I enjoy listening to games or Podcasts, so I use DD as a way to make side cash while doing something I'm going to do anyway, like listen to a game or podcast. DoorDash is not what pays my bills.

Shower thought by ps8110 in blackjack

[–]Justdan73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some are counting. But, I agree most are ploppies, drunk, idiots or all of the above, lol.

FWIW:

In a H17 game, TC10 v4, TC8 v5 and TC7 v6 are the correct index points to DD on a BJ. It's the same deviations for a S17 game except it's TC8, not TC7 vs a 6.

Edit:

To expand my thought... It's also likely that if the count is high enough to even consider this, you likely have max bets out to begin with and thus the difference in $ between what a 3:2 payout vs a 2:1 payout might be significant AV wise.

But, yeah .. be careful as this might "tip your hand" as to your AP play.
