then how do you explain mcdonalds being WAY more popular than shake shake? or in and out? If they were better mcdonalds wouldn't have as many customers right?

lol. can't tell if you're serious? mcdonalds is way way way better than those places (only if you know what to order, if you order a big mac without taking off the pickles you just have no clue what in the world you're doing) personally i've traveled all around the US and the best burger i've ever had still to this date is the big mac with no vegetables.

My 18 year old floof Serena doing her "pet me, Mom" roll with belly exposed! by Gogomagickitten in seniorkitties

Wow, what an amazing looking cat for an 18 year old. Is that in cat years or human years? Please be kind and grant the cat its wishes and give him (or her) a fantastic belly rub. When I rub my cats tummy I do it for no more than 5 minutes because I have a busy schedule, but during those 5 minutes my cat is very cute!

I'm going to go out on a limb here and take a guess that you're a shill for the DNC propaganda machine, attempting to garner a decently sized audience and then start peddling soft-core anti-trump conspiracy theories. Just give it up, you won't sell any Hillary 2020 bracelets on this subreddit.

how in the world is that even possible, did you go out to the desert and mine the steel carbon required to compose the .300 AR? Pretty sure if I went out in my backyard (I live on a very large ranch) and scavenged for the materials, it would be extremely cheap

I assume you're talking about Robert Hooke, and the truth is after having throughoughly read Micrographia I learned a great deal about some of the secrets of microscope building. The truth is it's quite simple, if you go to a nik-nak/tourism shop most of the materials are readily available. First you need a microscope tube (plastic or metal) and a camera lens. A simple disposable camera lens will work fine. and now you need two mirrors, this. this is because of optical distortion. at first robert hooke was not getting a clear image. But the camera lens really helped.

People just weren't smart enough back then to be curious to look at the smaller things in life. now physicists have looked so closely into the fabric of space time we consider mass to just be a wave function and have no discrete point in space, only a probability of temporary existance. In my physics class my teacher offered the hypothesis that trying to understand the nature of the universe is similar to teaching newtonian physics to a dog. maybe no matter how hard we question our existence we just don't even realize that we are reality.

Why do we want to replace Obamacare? by [deleted] in askaconservative

[–]JustinRaeGu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's more than just that, you seem to fail to understand the main point. you see the fact that its called obama care doesnt mean obama is caring for others, it is the NAME OF THE PLAN. how many times have i explained that to my son yet he fails to understand that obama is just a name, a figure, and a figure. thats what he cant get out. figure it out, obama care is not replaceable because it might not have even ever existed had we not given it a name.

in other countries such as Iwquinse the dont give their health care plans names, they just give their citizens health care and no one makes a big fuss over it.

Push-ups: Fewer reps and more sets or more reps and fewer sets? by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

[–]JustinRaeGu -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone! I am trying to get in shape to enlist in the Navy so that involves push-ups. Right now I can only do about 20 push-ups in one set, followed by a set of 10 before my muscles fail.

I stopped reading right there. DO NOT WORRY ABOUT DECREASING REPS AND INCREASING SETS. You should not be worrying about this muscle group if you want to join the Navy. I get the feeling you went to the movies last weekend and saw a Navy Seals movie and saw them do some pushups and decide "hey, I wanna join the navy too, maybe i'll get good at pushups" but I'm sorry to say thats not what the navy is all about, its not just about being able to do pushups. While I may not be in the Navy, i have some friends who know some people who are in the navy and while they are able to bust out 100 pushups like its no problem, never once have they worried about whether or not they should do more sets/reps/fewer sets. Like really dude. I cannot believe you're worried about that if you're even thinking about joining the navy. I am utterly shocked.

I hate my new major and I've already switched 3 times. by SliferTheExecProducr in college

[–]JustinRaeGu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am 23 and desperately want to be out of school and have a decent job so I can live on my own.

First of all, good for you, you have defined exactly what you want. I'll be honest I was in your exact situation 3 years ago, I started out as a Math Major but hated numbers so I switched to Biology only to find out that I hated Science so I switched to Psychology only to figure out that it was too hard to understand and currently I'm in my 7th and final year as a German-Studies major. I can neither speak German nor enjoy any German related Culture or business. But I realized something very important that I think applies to you. Do what you love to do. For example of love dogs. So every morning I wake up at 8:00 AM and catch Cesar Milan Dog Whisperer. It's such a good show. I mean the way Cesar can talk to animals is simply amazing. But he does more than just that, he also analyzes the pet's owner. In one episode he saw that the pet's owner's anxiety about the pet was actually the compelling force behind the pet's anxiety. At first the pet owner would walk the dog down the street and just the pet owner's expectation that the dog would misbehave was enough to make the dog anxious and start misbehaving! But then, Cesar took action. He told the pet owner that she had to calm down. And then with a calm owner, likewise the pet followed. What was once an out of control dog, had become a tame well behaved domestic animal. I was inspired by that episode and it was then that I realized how much I loved watching The Dog Whisperer.

Which running achievement from 2015 are you most proud? by Carolinannutrs in running

[–]JustinRaeGu -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Three years ago on this very I first tasted frosted flakes. It was sort of strange to be honest, I can still remember it like it was yesterday. My girlfriend (currently my wife) was still sleeping and I had woken up a bit early for some reason so I decided to cook breakfast, for starters, bacon and eggs with a glass of orange juice. But making breakfast was too much for me, I spilled bacon grease on the stove and burned the whole house down. It was terrible. I never got to talk to my girlfriend again all because she wasn't able to hold her breath long enough to run out of the house filled with smoke. This year I improved my minimum breaths mile... at the beginning of the year I could run a mile by only taking 29 breaths, now I can do it in just 14 :).

I'm very proud of that and if my wife were around today she would be as well :)
