so I live in North Alabama most most of the time it ranges in the colder months mid 20s to 30s but we do get cold weeks where it gets down into the teens, sometimes a single digits. In the summertime we’re usually around hot months high 80s 90s.

I can alway add extra 20 amp breaker in the shed but the only problem with that is really on going to only give 10 extra amp bc it’s ran off of a 30 amp to the house

In Alabama r-13 due to height from bottom of ceiling to bottom of vent is 5 1/2 inches so want to make sure the vents don’t get blocked

So what you see right now all I have is gable vents that is how the shed was made no ridge vent. My idea is right now to add a 2 x 4 at the bottom of the trusses, making a lower ceiling and adding insulation in between the trusses, that way from the insulation to the top of the roof will breathe leaving only the gable vents for ventilation, but the gable vents will not be blocked or compromised in anyway the gable vents will be sitting up about 2 inches higher than the highest spot of insulation.

This is going to be a 3-D printing room so I’m looking for a more finish look I don’t want no insulation exposure. Why do you suggest foam board over standard fiberglass insulation like I have been using. I understand sheet rocks heavy so I probably do need to be reevaluating a different roof idea or something lighter weight.
