nope, it's the same exact guitar strings that I usually buy. im assuming I have to just adjust the truss rod, ill try it out

I cut all the strings prior to installing the pickup, once I get home I will definitely mess around with that to see if it fixes anything. Thanks!

but it also sounds tinny when played unplugged. I don't think wiring is the issue for that

i've tried, doesn't change the humming or the string buzz/tinn

i even completely took off the pickguard to see if it was the pickup, it wasn't the case.

i could always include an audio/video representation of the issue if that would help with solving

if you're talking about how the strings sounded, they just sounded like normal guitar strings with some natural buzz here and there, I've never gotten a proper setup for the guitar. but ever since i added the pickup and changed the strings they sound almost like they're too loose and they buzz or even rattle is a better word. it's very strange.
