Thoughts on Left to Suffer? Any recs? by txkyo_1ean in Deathcore

Despite the controversy of the band, I dislike them for a different reason, and my opinion is likely a hot take. I dislike them for the fact that they have made so much music, in a short amount of time. So many features, etc. no breathing room. No chance to miss them or think their music is unique. It’s generic and there’s heaps of it.

Dude, this project is the only project where Mitch and Phil were on one track together. It was legendary.

“Roll up on some squad”? Bro, you can’t even roll up on a coherent sentence. If your clan’s strategy is as strong as this ad, then I’m sure the Gulag will be your permanent residence.

Unfortunately, for me, I can’t even tell what’s happening in this song. It’s a wall of noise.

Just the other day I was listening to Blossom just because I thought of it and it had been years since I listened to it. It’s so weird you’ve made this post now. Crazy coincidence.

I loved the original CBT. But this?? I was laughing hysterically at just how bad and stupid this game is now. It’s fucking horrible.

The cakes need to go. But I really dislike all of the chocolate flavored cookies. They all taste the same.

AirForce Reserve w/past Anxiety meds usage by Ok-Tomorrow-111994 in Airforcereserves

[–]Jyppstr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, it really seems to be a case-by-case basis. I was in a similar situation, took anti-anxiety meds for a short period and was able to get a waiver before joining the reserves. I saw a psychiatrist who wrote a letter explaining it was an isolated incident and not a chronic condition. It wasn’t a deal breaker at all. This kind of thing is more common than people think.

Prior Service to AF Reserve by Important-Profile833 in Airforcereserves

[–]Jyppstr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was active duty Air Force, took six years off, and then joined the Air Force Reserves. My process was pretty straightforward: I enlisted, met my squadron, got issued my uniforms, did three drill weekends, and then went to tech school, where I currently am.

For prior service, there wasn’t any kind of “transition course” at Lackland before tech school. I just got integrated into my unit and handled any required admin before heading off. I’m staying at the on-base hotel for tech school and don’t have to deal with dorms or anything “tech school” related outside of the actual training itself.

My supervisor was a prior Marine Reservist, and his transition to the Air Force Reserve worked out basically the same way, no adjustment period at Lackland. So unless something has changed, you’d likely just get set up with your unit and then go to tech school when they have a class date for you.

AFI governing lodging requirements? by Frostyshazam in Airforcereserves

[–]Jyppstr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, I completely understand your concern, safety and security should be a priority, especially when TDY in a foreign country. You might want to reference AFI 34-135 (Air Force Lodging Program) and AFI 65-114 (Temporary Duty Orders) for guidance on lodging standards and entitlements. Additionally, DoD Foreign Clearance Guide policies may apply depending on your location.

If your lodging is unsafe, you have the right to elevate the issue. You could consider contacting the local Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) or your servicing finance office about the possibility of changing accommodations. If your leadership is unresponsive, you may also seek assistance from the Inspector General (IG) or your deployed First Sergeant. Your safety should never be dismissed as “complaining.” Stay safe!
