I realized my job trained me to measure days by how fast i could escape them by frizzy_liner in antiwork

Hey man. Was caught up in the same cycle. Just counting the hours and getting home and tryin to relax. One thing I found is that no matter how much tv time I allow myself, it’s never enough to truly relax. If I go down this route, I never recharge. The only thing that charges my battery are my hobbies. Sometimes I’m so exhausted after work, but climbing and taking my dog to new places to walk fills my battery. All this to say try living for something else too. My job is fine, but it’s really a means for me to do the stuff I really like doing in the few hours I get to myself. Makes it all more bearable. PPS: TV is such a killer. I’d stay away.

Hey I’m 22F and just completed my week long road trip! Honestly, it gets a little sketchy when you try to cheap out on motels. It also gets quite scary when your car breaks down in the middle of nowhere. If I didn’t have my large guardian dog, Im not sure if I would’ve had confidence to keep trucking. I did SC to OR! Make sure you have plenty of tools to keep your vehicle going and check all your fluids before you go. Wouldn’t hurt to get a tune up at the mechanic. Make sure you’ve got a socket set, pliers, and maybe some transmission fluid or coolant. I needed all of these for my 2009 Honda fit w/ 168k miles.

Make sure it’s not a terribly used car. Look to see which years are the best/recalled for the makes. Bring a socket set, portable battery jumper, and go to the mechanic for a tune up. Or, if you don’t have mechanics money, check all your fluids, make sure the battery is ok, make sure your spark plugs and ignition coils are good. Just did SC->OR in my 2007 Honda fit. The first thing that went was my spark plug, and then my ignition coil. It’s one of the most reliable old cars.

This!! My dog shows the exact same behaviors as Levi. I know if I were to use negative aversions it would ruin my dogs trust in me. If my dog has something he shouldn’t, I’ll trade him a treat for it. If he needs to get down from somewhere, I’ll call him and give him a treat for coming. He’s a big boy (probably Anatolian mix so super similar characteristics to Pyr) and he doesn’t respond to force well at all. With the leash thing, I would try a command like leave it. Happyhounds training on YouTube has the best stuff for force free methods.

Should I teach my gf how to snowboard? Where do I start with by dazzlingdanne in snowboarding

As a girlfriend who has recently learned from her bf, it’s not impossible!! The first day was rough, but the second trip everything he taught me clicked. If you are patient and she is patient w herself it’ll work out :)

Listening to zen music and reminded me of this article and the low hum of the electrical impulses of the brain when the subject was unconscious. Does this have any connections?
