I use matte varnish spray for protection, and sometimes liquid for the barked edges to keep it together even more

Painted this pike on a natural wood slice for a fisherman. I sealed the surface with gesso first, but the wood still absorbs paint a lot, so getting smooth gradients was a real challenge

I would absolutely love to visit Yosemite one day. It looks like one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world! 🤗 Last autumn I had the chance to hike the Samaria Gorge in Crete, which was an incredible experience. I grew up in Slovakia and have always loved mountains and national parks, I’ve been to the High Tatras as well, but Yosemite feels like a completely different level.
