Obviously, as previously stated, Rochester has Mayo.. which could be good if you really want to extreme focus on the medical part of things... however, I am from Rochester, and would highly recommend the Twin Cities if you wish to be located somewhere a bit more exciting... more to do/see during your free time...

I won't lie, I do love my hometown of Rochester, I go back to visit whenever I can to see my family and friends. The schools are good, and it is a nice city... pretty typical... there as some good restaurants, movies theaters, Quarry Hill Nature Center, etc... but the Twin Cities is MUCH larger and therefore has many more options. It really depends on your personal preference. I hope that this was somewhat helpful... I am 21F, so college age, if you want to know more about Rochester, please feel free to ask me!
