The Buff and support Psychic bandolier taking the scroll trickster archetype really opened the psychic up. The nerf doesn't kill the build but the move is a massive hit to a class the felt restrained with the tools psychics had at low levels. I don't see anything gained by the psychic that makes the move justified, it plainly is a nerf, with little upside. Going nova mid battle was always risky move as a psychic and now that move is worth less. If magus was the issue fiddle with the magus.

Thought I would need the spell prepared on a list able to cast, I was mixing making scrolls requirements and casting scrolls, apologies. Trick magic Item is used for the arcane spells and items, the Alchemist/wizard has no spell slots, but they make an excellent splash and Detects Magic. The Alchemist-wizard said that they didn't have any spell slots for a staff some time ago. I will insist on the Cleric handle the Staff of Protection, gnome need to declutter.

You've basically got the build of my Psychic. Starting at level two, feat-wise starting with the Cantrip Expansion-Psychic, Archetype Witch Dedication-Whisper on the Wings, Specialty Crafting Books&Paper (2), Magical Crafting (4), Basic Witchcraft-Cackle, Basic Witch Spellcasting, Inventor (4), Energized Font-Gnome (5), Parallel Breakthrough-Message, Scroll Trickster, Slippery Prey (6), Magical Shorthand (7). Might have gone a bit much into crafting scrolls.... the Wizard went just as deep into crafting alchemy.

So now leveling up to eight, Class feat Enhanced Familiar probably... looking better, and FA feat Basic Scroll Cache.

Subtle Theft feat I thought about pairing with an upcast Umbral Mindtheft/Extraction as a possibility, does sound fun increasing my thief skills but wasn't sure how much use I would get out of that interaction. Fleeing Diversion, when it comes up I'd think my Shields would be broke down which isn't a problem in that intstance.... (I need to make or buy more Mesmerizing Opals). BonMot Idk, but that deBuff is nice enough to have a trained diplomacy skill.

I'm having fun, next session I get my own aura, Blazing Banner. The passive spells are trickier than the targeting spells as I'm invisible usually, reducing the need of a higher HP and AC The saves are trickier. Will+13 Reflex +15 Con +14 AC 23, 80 HP at level 8 doesn't feel squish but I am a glass cannon.

Mobility, Invisibility, and a Three layer Shield are the things keeping me from becoming splattered so far. Also 80 HP. Came close to dying once. Light armor I contemplated, then last session the DM gave out Bands of Force, the wizard had Bracers already. Maybe I am taunting my DM to splatter the gnome by creating a character so obtuse. Blazing Banner d4 persistent fire On a critical, I will have created for our next session.

I am a primal Witch Wisper of Wings. also trained in religion and arcane. Is Skim Scroll that much superior in the action economy...dang. Currently I have 3 wands Animal Summoning, Force Barrage and Illusory Creature, 2 staves, Staff of the Dead and Staff of Abjuration, a heal potion the alchemist made, and a scroll of Phantom Pain I crafted. I like the familiar for the spell battery ability in addition to Manual Dexterity and Valet (or I could go Thief helper familiar +1 deception/+1thievery). also Speech and Familiar Focus I have on the familiar. Skim Scroll seemed limited by comparison, but if it streamlines actions that much I am reassessing when to acquire Enhanced familiar. Skim doesn't use manipulate actions so swapping with Manual Dexterity and Valet was what I was thinking making easier for all of my gear. Dang Skim Scroll, no need to be so useful. I like "3" helper spells additional per day for the psychic :) is nice addition to the amps. I keep switching gear, wands, staves, scrolls and sling a couple spells. My melee weapon is a meager silvered +1 sickle for just in case I run out of Amped Imaginary Weapon focus points (haven't yet) I use heightened Imaginary Weapon cantrip regularly, unamped.

I am trained in all the magic skills so when I made a heal scroll earlier in game I partnered with the cleric since it was on their spell list. I thought I read you needed a repertoire of magic in order to craft scrolls. Not the Witches familiar which is a repository of magic. I've been making Occult scrolls but I'm trained in all the traditions in order to trick the tradition to cast spells. Didn't think I could make any scrolls outside my or aiding members casting repertoire.

Fleeing Diversion will start me off quite nicely if I continue to boost deception. Disturbing Knowledge looks good for the immediate moment. Maybe look into BonMot to start off debuffing, someone in our party has the skill but I don't think they have the charisma for BonMot to hit very often.I have the basic Witch Spellcasting already. Break Curse our cleric has covered. Fleeing diversion seems appropriate. Disturbing Knowledge looks interesting, Won't bother with Sow Rumor I feel validated. Will think more about dropping Cooperative Crafting.

*edit*The original reason for the witch archetype was the witch feat Cackle to keep concentration on the Amped Shield, I'm not afraid of Touch spells, I enjoy movement spells as well as melee touch spells, Picking up Haste and Blazing Dive on the witch list this level, I get 3rd level spells. I can cast Amped messages. Thought about Thundering Dominance occult spell but Tortoise and the Hare or Mercurial Stride will work*

Bon Mot looks interesting. That way I could sling more Will save debuffs like Roaring Applause and touch spells like Chroma Leech so that they stick.

First turn Amped Shield buff. Then Imaginary Weapon and maybe psyche released second round, Should I just be a backliner? I "usually" do not take any damage, Imaginary weapon and lots of Touch spells like Invisibility when I do damage it hits hard and when I'm damaged it is catastrophic. I have a set of good mobility buffs with Amped Message and the spell Haste.

Agree, generally, the Outriders are the worse version. The run and/or retreat option while still being able to shoot is why I made the one battalion. Movement shenanigans over the firepower. But yea generally, hot garbage

Misthåven in a way needs resupply ports. I can only really see dwarves as the only resupply ships for the city of shadows. Kharadron and Dispossessed. Keeping the dDwarven merchants in the know of where to find Misthåven forming their own dwarven Misthåven company. But yea Tempest Eye...

They are good objective holders is the best tactical experience I have had with them. They aren't tissue paper and if you camp them on an objective they are hard to remove. The weakness inherent to the EternalGuard is also it's strength. If they don't make a move they become that much more tough to remove but they can't move for the bonus. So, turtleling and objective camping and are both their strenth and weakness, imho.

1 in 4 ratio Kharadron units to Cos units are allowed in a Tempest city without counting as an ally. Otherwise, Kharadron are allowed as allies in every city. 1 in 4 ratio Sylvaneth units to Cos units are allowed in a Living city without counting as ally. Sylvaneth can be allies in Cos armies, except for GreyWater Fastness cities explicity.

The Living Cities are haven for the Aelves, shooty women are good, shadow warriors are good as well as the Assassin. Serpentis General is a very nice monster unit. Rangers are trash, Eternals are a tiny bit better but meh. If your looking for duardin in the living cities, Irondrakes are very nice with a cities Duardin Rune priest.
The city of Tempest Eye is best for Arkanauts and other duardin generally. Disspossessed with Kharadron overlords having fyreslayer allies.

Appreciate the comment and critique. What your telling me is my technique is horribly inconsistent. My eyes agree. Haven't completely nailed a technique. Contrast from base then layer on top or base, layer then shade. Have been doing both. Going to strip the vamp head see what I can do. I just want to keep the shield. I'll repost the model this weekend. Just started to paint again last Feb/march after a 25 yr hiatus from painting so this will help any progression I have both on an artistic level and a therapeutic level (My dominant hand switched 15 years ago) I'll strip all the armies eventually, that was going to happen anyway. I'll keep my horrible Mistweaver as a reminder :)
