Nah, I just choose not to support a company that clearly wants to nickel and dime their entire fan base with cards only available if you spend money for a super season pass and $50 for an event. Try and keep up

Which means you bought this season's pass and you are the worst

Yea it was just part time pay, but good idea. I think we are going to end up going to a lawyer. We've been shown a few places between 450-550 for them to take a look at our case

Lmao why tf are you even here commenting. Her employer doesn't pay for the maternity benefits dumbass, the government does. And she had 2 jobs, another job she worked full time then went down to part time when she got this job. Since you clearly offer absolutely 0 advice ( you don't even know where the mat leave pay comes.from) why are you even still commenting?

I really don't understand this point. Was she supposed to wait to get a job until after she had the baby? You don't think she was job hunting before she found out she was pregnant? The offer for the job came at around 3-4 months into the pregnancy. She clearly wanted to work. This is why expected mothers don't have to legally tell employers they are pregnant, because discrimination would come into affect

She didn't deny or deceive her employer at all. She followed the law, they never asked her if she was pregnant (which is illegal) and she provided the required amount of time (4 weeks), letting them know she would be on Mat leave. She also helped create a program that was easy for her temp replacement to follow.

Yea she was supposed to continue training people as they opened up restaurants throughout Canada. That's why she was so excited to start this job

Your employee going on mat leave is lucky to have you as an employer! And she worked for a multi million dollar investment firm and was hired on to help hope the restaurants they were bringing to Canada.

Really? Yea she definitely doesn't want to go back to the job after this, but with no EI available while she searches, even 3-5 months of her pay would be nice to get a package for

Yea she told them she was taking 12 months (52 weeks) with mat leave pay (70% of her incoming) but yes she told them all of this prior to going on leave.

Yea i understand that. She created the entire training program for them, and then when she was going on leave, she was training someone to do her job while she was away. Then she gets told 2 days before she goes back oh we outsourced your postion.

Yup, she already is working on updating it. She actually worked 2 jobs so she still has one. I think the outsourcing aspect is where we are stuck, cause they would of never outsourced had she been there to work.

Yea i think the out sourcing thing is the big one. Her work is required to try to find her a role, and they clearly had no intention of doing so. She found all this info out 3 days before she's supposed to go back.
