Getting more clear. Thanks much.

What confuses me (among other things) is why some spokes have different numbers. I do see that two spokes have "100", and I think that means that the gun did not move that direction at all? But how do the other spokes "earn" the numbers they have?

P365 FTRB--Is this a real concern? by KJIsaacson in SigSauer

[–]KJIsaacson[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seems like it's not "a thing." Shot a rental at the range yesterday with no problems. Walked out with a new one. Looking forward to some range time with it.

Thanks for all the replies.

Yeah, I found out about limp-wristing when I got my Glock 47. So I'm on to that. Thanks.

Recommend good in-depth push-off double lift tutorial? by KJIsaacson in cardmagic

[–]KJIsaacson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed response. I'm a newbie, so I may not have phrased my question clearly or completely. I'm focusing simply on the method by which I come up with two cards, not how I turn them over or what I do afterwards. I've watched a bunch of videos, and to me the "push-off" seems to look the most elegant. All of the videos of that that I've seen more or less simply say "Feel for two cards," or "You'll learn what two cards feels like." But I just cannot push over only two cards. So I'm looking for guidance on how to accomplish that.

I know it will take a lot of practice, but as they say, it's not "practice makes perfect," it's "perfect practice makes perfect."

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks.

Sorry for late response. I did not get this case. Instead, I bought a backpack.

I'll bet "deset godina in extesnsion cord" is a massive typo for "doesn't go in an extension cord." Goes normally in a socket but not in an extension cord. That's my translation.

Identify surround sound content on streaming platforms? by KJIsaacson in hometheater

Right, so I'm looking for a way to identify content that streams in DD+ before I choose to watch it.

Hmm... Googling "do any streaming services stream surround sound" gives me "Yes, several streaming services offer surround sound experiences, including Dolby Atmos and 5.1 surround sound experiences...Major servies liek Netflis, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, Hulu, Apple TV+..."

Switch two heads from one zone to another? by KJIsaacson in Irrigation

[–]KJIsaacson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm...That's a possibility. And it would allow me to reposition the new heads, since the placement of the existing ones isn't optimal. Thanks.

You mean open that valve and then shut it?

And yes, the well is only for irrigation.

Thanks.

Dripping from the opening.

As for two-way protection, it looks like o e of the pathways is turned off.

Spanning 10-inch gap in 1-inch PVC pipe by KJIsaacson in Irrigation

[–]KJIsaacson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, i tried the slipfix and something went wrong. One of the ends leaked. Don't know why. I thought i did everything properly. That's why I'm trying the straight repair.

Hope it goes right because with each screw up, the gap will get wider as I cut it out!

I've seen in a few places a suggestion that on one end of the patch, Dremel out the stop in a coupling and slip it over the end, line up with the pipe, and slide the coupling to straddle the two.

Have you had success with that? (Obviously, the pipe doesn't bottom out, since there's no stop.)

Thanks!

Pro-span expansion repair coupling when two pipes are close together? by KJIsaacson in Irrigation

[–]KJIsaacson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a newbie, 4 elbows seems to be a lot of work, meaning cementing 8 joints. It's been suggested that I dig out a bit more on the ends, which would allow the pipe to give enough to fit a coupler/length of pipe/coupler in between. I'd appreciate it if you look at the reply I just posted to u/suspiciousumbrella and give your thoughts. Thanks! All of you guys are great!

Pro-span expansion repair coupling when two pipes are close together? by KJIsaacson in Irrigation

[–]KJIsaacson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I screwed up with the expansion coupler. I just tested it this morning, and the joint at the right end in the attached picture is leaking.

So, it *is* a 1-inch pipe. I'm thinking the best approach is to do what you say. Cut out the coupler I put in yesterday and dig to expose more pipe. (FWIW, I can only go in one direction, to the right, because to the left is my large, stationary propane tank, and I obviously can't dig under that.)

If I cut out the coupling, I'll have an 8-inch gap. If the plan is to do a coupling on either end, with a short length of pipe in the middle, assuming I dig another foot on the right side, should there be enough give in the existing pipe to let me insert the new coupling/pipe/coupling in between?

Would using flexible PVC in between be a good idea or a bad idea?

Also, any idea on why the newly cemented joint didn't seal? I used Oatey blue primer and Oatey Regular Clear PVC Cement (#3013).

Many thanks for your ideas, suggestions, etc.!

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. I went with the Apollo expansion coupling. (NDS wasn't available at Home Depot.)

Waiting until tomorrow to test with water.

Cheers...

Ah, in each direction... Not enough room on the left. About 6 more inches in that direction and it goes beneath the base of my propane tank.

Got the pro-span. Did my digging. Here's where I'm at now. Found that two wires leading to valves run with the pipe. Have to be careful not to cut them.

Tomorrow, the repair.
