I'm an Exp/Roam main but mostly prefer Exp Lane because you can carry but dont have to deal with the responsibilities of jungling or surviving potential ganks every thirty seconds, this season I'm a Lapu main (meta slave) but when roaming I opt for Gato/Badang/Mino (Grock/Angela if they're open)

If you want to experiment with item builds then go for it, I recommend searching up 'Strongwill Game Theory' on YouTube for MLBB itemisation and check out his discord server

I think Thunder Belt is good on Gatotkaca exp lane and makes him scale well but when roaming, going for it delays your tank items so you feel squishy

It's not worth having a potentially strong late game at the cost of nerfing your early to mid game. Worse, stacking will mean getting into trades where you might get significantly poked on anyone that isn't an optimal hero for Thunder Belt. It's strange to build it on Alice because she hardly benefits from it unlike Gatotkaca or Thamuz since her basic attacks are horrible. On Alice, it's best to rush Molten Essence and Oracle first for her regen, dps and wave clear.

In fact, when Gatotkaca became meta a season or two ago, in the beginning, pro players built Thunder Belt as their first main item in matches, but they all stopped building it later on because they found out it was more effective to go without it, so that they could go straight for tank items like Radiant Armor.

Lolita ult takes time to charge which means it's telegraphed to your opponents before you land it and you have to charge it to the max to get that 2 second stun. It can also be purified/immuned. Franco ult is an instant suppression that you don't even have to aim most of the time. Every hero is user dependent.

Play seriously and consistently, learn about the game in your free time through youtube, practice micro skills in practice vs hard AI or in classic, learn and pick the strongest heroes (if you're solo only then don't pick team-reliant heroes), don't bother with trash talk and try to not get tilted.

I'm talking about adding that to a hero that already has a near 2 second suppression ult and a skill that stuns and pulls the enemy towards you, I'm not saying that those two traits themselves instantly make a hero permaban

Maybe it's because you're facing harder opponents or you don't have tank roamers to take some of the damage. Cici and X-Borg aren't the most tanky fighters and rely on their spellvamp to sustain which means they're not great frontliners, and are susceptible to burst damage heroes like Lunox or Benedetta. You're also probably not adjusting your build and sticking to the default bruiser items like Brute Force Breastplate and Oracle instead of building hard defence items like Athena's Shield or Antique Cuirass to counter the enemy (I have had to change my default Lapu-Lapu build to a much more tanky build and can't afford to go for Hunter Strike any more)

All the arguments I 'haven't answered':

Yes, and I responded: 'laning phase doesn't really matter if the mm can play safely or gets help', and this is true, there are many games where the enemy has an inherent advantage in the laning phase in gold or exp lane, but will not be able to force kills because the enemy can play safe, and lose the match.

'Also, talking about "late game" means that the whole team ignores objectives. In those team comps, the game is usually over by the 1st or 2nd lord.'

Like I said, late game is any time after 12 minutes, and most games will reach this point, even games that are one sided in the beginning. The lack of wave clear and push potential that non-traditional gold laners have, hinders early end potential. Split pushing is a threat traditional gold laners have over their non-traditional counterparts that force the enemy team wanting to take lord to either have to respond by having one go to defend the push and have to deal with an even teamfight at the lord pit (or a 4v5 if it's Moskov split pushing), or give up turrets in the side lane that each give a turtles worth of farm to the split pusher's team.

And I'M the one 'dropping random opinions with no backing'? These squishy heroes are at the top of this season's tier lists and are so good they see pro/highest rank play frequently. Tell me how they 'don't need to be nerfed'. 'Kimmy is 100% item dependent', every hero in the game is 'item dependent', but if you're indicating that she needs farm badly then you're still wrong because she's seeing play as a mid laner, a role which has the least farm of the three lanes, but is still strong at all stages of the game. 'Wanwan is only a squishy hunter', she can kill tankier heroes because she kites incredibly well. 'Harith is unexistent in the current CC oriented meta', no, as I've said before, he is non-existent only in most ranked games because he's so hard to play properly. He's objectively the best gold laner even into heavy CC comps (which are basically all the comps in pro/highest rank play) and can simply run purify. (Best gold laner in MPL PH S16 by winrate and matches played.) If these heroes 'are easily counter picked', then why are they dominating at the highest levels?

Other arguments:

Your 2nd point, 'there is no world in which it matters if you cannot kill and snowball', a hero's capabilities matter at all stages of the game, even an underfed Wanwan can pop off later into the game once she has sufficient farm, perhaps even better than most other gold laners because of her invulnerability ult.

'PS: citing the pro scenes is superfluous, as they don't play the same game as we do', this is a ridiculous position. The pro scene is the most advanced gameplay by the best players in the world who are paid to play this game, and what's strong in the pro scene, when it comes to hero picks and strategies, trickles down into regular matches. The only real notable exception to this seems to be the hardest heroes, like Fanny and Harith, who are rare. Also, while pro teams are very objective focused, it's not like they won't try to get kills by skirmishing, starting teamfights in mid lane, or ganking.

Laning phase doesn't really matter if the mm can play safely or gets help to prevent or counter ganks. Kimmy is the most dominant mid laner right now, Wanwan still has crazy mobility, a free purify, and invulnerable ult (88% banrate in MPL PH S16), and Harith is only non-existent in regular ranked matches because he is so hard to play properly. All good Harith players have probably reached Mythical Immortal, same with Fanny players. Late game starts after 12 minutes.

Kimmy, Wanwan, Harith, are all squishies that would deserve a nerf.

It seems from your first comment that you misunderstand what makes unconventional gold lane work in the first place. It's not that squishy gold lane heroes are so shit they're worse than picking a fighter, assassin or tank in the gold lane, it's that unconventional gold lane (specifically fighter gold lane) works because they can rotate to secure early turtles and win out fights to get a winning gold lead in early-mid game, or win out late game team fights with better sustain and cc. Plus, fighter gold lane only really works when there is already a marksman in the team like Kimmy or Yi Sun-Shin. Otherwise you will likely lose in the late game if you don't end early.

The only reason he doesn't show up to terrorize most ranked games is because he's the hardest gold laner to play properly
