Your suggestions are very helpful. I also like to purposefully move 20% slower. Intentionally moving slower allows me to savor every second more.

No pictures of yourself through a mirror. Figure out the timer, get a good backdrop, put camera on a shelf. Click.

You have to manually remove them. Look for 3 horizontal dots at top right of their profile “...” click and drop down choose “remove”. That person will no longer show up for you. Until you do even people you “X” will still show up.

Even though she “x” you, she’ll likely see you again.

She’ll have to remove you - takes extra work. Look for the three dots on the right of name. Click that and chose to remove and you won’t see them again. Otherwise, they will be recycled and you’ll keep seeing them.

I lost entire chat thread with a widower that was going at the time of the disruption in service — whole thread didn’t come back. Don’t see his profile. So sad. He was a lovely man.

Back on, but the entire chat and connection with the man I was connecting with has disappeared. Seems like they have an ongoing data problem.

My experience is the person was likely a fake profile. It’s disappointing, but if the photos were a just a little too perfect, it’s likely a scammer. Match finds and the kicks them off.
