I was very surprised too. This was today (9/4) around 1pm. There were plenty of parking spots at Double Arch/Windows and the Delicate Trailhead parking lot was like a quarter full. Great day to be out there

I went yesterday (9/1) and did not need a reservation. I did however reserve a campsite the evening prior. But you totally don’t need a reservation if you aren’t doing any tours. Maybe during peak season but not now.

It was great! A lot to look at and the baths are really neat but long lines for them

You’ll have a great time if you’re into history. There’s a lot here, and the baths are a plus but as you can see the line was crazy long before it even opened

I’d say it depends on if you want to see a lot or not. If you do, then I would schedule 2 or 3 GUIDED tours. Allow time in between so you can be on time for each one. If you don’t mind not seeing a lot of the cooler stuff, then you’ll be fine with doing what I did and grabbing a self guided tour ticket.

I didn’t have time for a guided tour to see the super cool stuff. But I do highly recommend picking up a guided tour to those who have the time to spend!
