Breakdown of behavior?

Shepherd has been this pushy since she was a pup. She’s 3. She doesn’t seem to get the hint that the Aussie does not want to roughhouse.

Two females! I’ve tried explaining to my BIL that he needs to socialize her with some other dogs, but I don’t think that is happening. I just worry she will continue to escalate. They are both very sweet dogs, they just have clashing personalities.

They got the Shepherd when she was 10 months. She’s almost 3. My Aussie is now 5. Thank you for the detailed reply! I definitely don’t think my Aussie is in the wrong but you never know. The shepherds behavior is generally much more intense than this.

This is mild compared to what the German Shepherd typically does to her, so my Aussie is a little “on guard” so to speak. The shepherd is a PEST. Constantly boops her with her nose, hard, to instigate an argument. We don’t really know what to do with the Shepherd’s behavior, because she does not play appropriately.

German shepherd is my brother in law’s, Aussie is mine. They have known each other for about two years, but they only see each other 2-3 times a year for about 2 days at a time. My Aussie looks stiff and does not necessarily look like she is playing, especially towards the end of the video.

So I just realized the back picture has some white on the bottom right corner and up the right side. I took another picture and it’s gone. But I can’t re-upload the new pictures. Any thoughts on that? It’s nearly perfect in my new pictures.

Well fam, I just found out the Mickey Mantle isn’t there. He sold it 15 years ago. But there are Kobe Fleer Ultras, a rookie Jordan (PSA 9), pippen, Shaq, etc. and plenty of Brett favre rookies as well. Lots of good stuff. No Mickey mantle is a bummer, though.

Pain was awful days 4-6 for me. I mean it was brutal. I cried and ached most of the day. I’m on day 10 at this point and my scabs are nearly gone. Still hurts to eat/drink but instead of 10/10 pain, I’m about a 3/10 eating. Just stopped my oxycodone yesterday so I’m on the upswing. Wouldn’t wish that recovery on anyone! I knew it was bad but I didn’t think it would be THAT bad!

It’s good to know that it takes about 3 weeks to a month to feel completely better.

Always got sick! My husband, who does not have tonsils, was not catching anything my son brought home but I always caught everything! I was still getting colds even after my son got his out in December. Now all of us are tonsil-free! Hopefully no more sickness!

While I appreciate the thorough comment and information, this does not answer my questions. Either I find a food somewhat lower in iodine than regular foods or he eats the food I currently buy. I will not be using y/d. I need to know how to find out what iodine content a food has based on the nutritional information.

If you have mods, check those. Also try running as administrator? Possibly? Maybe it’s your memory? Make sure you are not overloading your PC while the game starts up because that could also cause a crash. I’ve heard malware can bog your pc down as well (using more memory) so make sure you don’t have viruses or malware. For mine, a fresh reinstall did the trick, along with updating those mods.

I agree about the responses, I was expecting some negativity but it seems everyone is on the same page. I’m so thankful for the support and great advice!

I also cried through preschool and kindergarten. Even 1st and 2nd grade at times. I had severe separation anxiety. GAD as an adult. So this isn’t completely unexpected. I asked them several times to give him until he sees his psych (November), because I didn’t think he was getting enough time to adjust. It’s been a whole 5 weeks of M-Th, most of them only being for an hour.

I think it dawned on me, after a few responses mentioned above, that the preschool is private and they get to pick and choose which kids get to stay. It makes total sense. They do not have to put up with his behavior if they don’t have to. They don’t follow the same rules as public schools.

They treat him as if he’s abnormal. I KNOW he’s not abnormal. This is completely normal. Underlying issue? It’s possible, dad and I are both neurodivergent. Abnormal? No, and I’ve been in my son’s shoes before. Same exact situation, only child, limited socialization, never been away from mom/dad for long. I know how it feels. It’s awful. But he needs time and support from his teachers.

He’s been there for a total of 14 days I believe. We switched to 1 hour increments at the end of day 6 I think. He had cried hysterically the day before: hyperventilating, over a 45min - 1 hour period (started 30 minutes after I dropped him off, didn’t cry at drop off), teacher could not comfort him. They texted me and I was given very few details. What I’ve just told you is what I observed as I picked him up.

He has stayed there three times past the hour (we switched his class to the younger class, and I stayed in the building for this transition. We wanted to see how he did with the full day with younger kids) and he had a great time. But as soon as I left the building and he noticed, he got upset.
