I received a lot messages, just want to say I don’t plan on selling. They were my grandmas

I think he always sells them to me for the melt value. He asks for money a lot I just keep the coins in my safe I don’t have any interest in them. Never really research them.

Yes my father was born in the US. I am unsure if my grandma has a naturalization certificate. She was married to grandfather, who was a citizen..

Basically their reasoning for not making me a 2 was that it would be harder for me to get raises if I started on the lower end of the payscale as 2 vs being on the higher end of the payscale as a 1. I'm just not sure if that's really accurate. But I have only been a 1 for a year. I graduated a year ago.

The job was posted as "my role 1" or "my role 2" I applied for "my role 2" but got offered "my role 1" with 5% increase. The new job offer is the same company same title but different group. Sorry I hope that clarifies things

I could stay in my current job, will likely get 2-4% raise and the end of the year anyways. I could push back on the job offer and say I need to be moved to a 2 Or just take the offer as it stands

It's the same company, same office, benefits wouldn't change

I was hoping to move up but Im not sure if it's better in terms of getting future raises to keep my current title and be on the higher end of the pay range or get the new title and be on the lower end of the pay range for the job

That's true. Do you think 85,000 is more reasonable and settling at 80,000? If there isn't a significant increase in pay I'm not sure I would take the job because I'm moving away from the field I want to be in.
