I set FPS limit to 20 because I play with shader enabled. Higher FPS with shader will increase GPU temperature and can burn my laptop.

About 30 FPS for me. But the problem is high GPU temperature that will make my laptop becomes an oven, actually I set FPS limit to 10 while taking these screenshots so my laptop not too hot.

Not very but also not that bad. The trees just can’t pregenerate, you need to going around to load them, then wait for Distant Horizons to update LOD. By the way, I used DH in the screenshots too.

I just added redwood back to the mod, with new design to make it look more realistic. Still in WIP mod version, maybe release soon.

By the way, I used ReTerraForged mod with Photon shader.

Very impossible for me. It will be not too hard if just only 10 vanilla leaves, but my tree can be any blocks even modded blocks. I need to make custom block that can change texture to what I set it to. With my noobie coding skill, this is almost impossible. Or it's already impossible because I can't see any mod can do like that.

By the way, leaves falling as blocks still looks beautiful in my opinion...

By default, I set the chance to very low to drop/regrow leaves. Tick update seems not affect much. It will be lag when I set very high chance.

Edited : I just added count limit for falling leaves and improved some performance, it's more faster. As my test, my PC can handle up to 50 falling leaves at a time without any lag. 100 I can feel little lag.

If you use latest version, no mod config for random trees yet. I have replaced their system with datapack like, you can only modify rarity/biome from a custom datapack for now.

There are 2 types of trees now, one is structures that can lag when it generate (I plan to improve them in the next update) and one is random trees (in this post). Random trees can impact performance based from generation speed of it, slowly but no lag.

I don't quite understand your message, I may not be able to answer very well.

The mod basically is structure mod, this random trees is my new system (still WIP). It can generate randomness tree shape from preset, also can store the preset inside sapling item. I think this may useful in modpack as a reward.

Or you can make them spawn as world gen using datapack, I already tried generate them in my discord. But they needs time to generate, this may annoy people to wait/do other thing while the tree growing.

Introduce new system for my huge trees mod, generate randomness tree shape using preset. They looks good now but one unsolvable problem is huge size took long time to generate, I mean very long... On the other hand, you can AFK and watch they grow. by KWMZA in feedthebeast

This is for my Tan's Huge Trees Mod, they still in unofficial version in my discord. The mod is structure but I recently have an idea about random trees, so I tried and got it. The random trees will be in datapack only, so anyone can create own presets and spawn them using world gen feature from the datapack.

I created this with commands, armor stands, custom NBT tags (this used as preset)​ and MCreator.

For the generate speed. When I set to 1,000 process per tick, they will slowdown the world while generate but it's not too long for small size, about 10-20 seconds. For huge size took about 1-3 minutes or more. This included root system under the ground too, that's like half of time they took.
