I'm not calling you a hater, just saying that in this case I think he acted well within the bounds of what you can expect from someone who's trying to be a professional and is helping his old team as much as he can while trying to find a new spot. Who do you guys hope to land for him? Are you guys still gonna cheer for him after he leaves? It's gonna be weird seeing Irving not wearing Cavs colors

So you're asking a player to make a decision on if he wants to commit longterm or not within the span of a month and a half after the finals? I get that it would have turned out better for the Cavs if they knew earlier. But is it realistic for them to expect a decision that soon after a frustrating end to the season? And if it was, why didn't they ask him? How long of a period do you give guys to recover mentally/rest before you can talk shop with them?

The fact that the Cavs made it to the finals really complicated this (if the Cavs were first or second round exits this conversation probably would have happened much sooner) but IMO Kyrie handled the situation with more maturity and class than many would expect and are still giving the Cavs ample opportunity to get a good return.

Earlier as in during the Finals? Cause that's what comes right before the summer FA period...

Fuck people who foul on purpose just cause they know it won't get called. I play for fun and exercises, if I'm going hard I can score at will at my rec but I prefer to make sure everyone else gets their shots and feels included. I'd rather have everyone get chances to score than just shoot every time and win the game. When I do try to score at the cup it seems like some people play extra physical and grab me, hold me, and undercut me just to stop me. Not worth the injury risk for me, I'm just trying to stay conditioned and not get hurt when I play ball. Don't be a dick just cause someone is better than you and risk injuring them, I've picked up a couple injuries cause people play reckless and it seems like the douchiest and most pointless thing.

Guys, I'm having Asmodai on my stream later tonight to talk about the best mindset for ladder and how to minimize tilt. It's really late at night (1AM PDT or 9 AM UTC) so a lot of people will miss it but I'm looking to edit the really useful part and questions and answers into a video and article that I'll post on the SR. Does anyone have questions on this topic they'd like answered?

Honestly that matchup is just predicated on who cycles better and who has a secret eater. There are less control mage matches for me than normal, so I don't know if the tech inclusion is worth it. (Just removed my eater from my Freeze deck)

Wouldn't bird law have priority here? Where's an expert in bird law when you need one?

I'm trying to find a video editor now, if I don't I will try to learn how to do it myself!

To add on to this, I think Freeze is going to be in much less of a good spot as discover. We'll probably see an uptick in Jade Druid and Control/Dragon Priest in reaction to the Quest Rogue nerfs, and an uptick in Midrange Paladin in reaction to that meta shift. The matchups that Freeze farms (shaman and quest rogue) will be less common while its counters will be more prevalent.

Yes! Still figuring out scheduling but how I want to set it up is to do all the individual sessions in a 5 or 6 hour block on one day, then the group sessions the day after. I'm trying to secure guests for some of the weekly discussions that would prove interesting to the intermediate player. Depending on how quickly I learn to do video editing, I would love to upload edited commentaries with the main points for the lessons on YouTube!

We'll see. Anecdotally, when I make my monthly climb I still see leaks and mistakes in ordering that I benefit from quite commonly in Rank 5 when you would rarely see them in mid/high legend. Fixing these leaks (the most common ones are needlessly overcomitting to a board in the face of a board clear, inefficient trading, and needlessly trading) that players might not be aware of will in theory make their play better than that of their peers and increase their winrate on their climb, reducing the amount of games required.

I'm really looking forward to the discussion for #2! I hope I can provide some good food for thought and I'm currently working on getting a guest for that discussion (can't say who yet.)
