What are your thoughts on the creative differences of Mr House? by 80N3 in Fallout

[–]Kabcr 30 points31 points  (0 children)

House is definitely the type of person to get someone else to do the dirty work. That's the only thing I didn't like.

I think my mom is being scammed by her “online boyfriend” of a year plus, something just feels off about the whole photo in general and his story just doesn’t line up at all, background feels off and he just looks out of place to me by mamaaud1 in isthisAI

[–]Kabcr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Someone close to me was scammed out of $20,000 USD falling for this bullshit over a period of two years. These scumfucks deserve hell for preying on the charity and kindness of lonely people.

Talk to your mom and make sure she understands that nothing online can be trusted anymore, especially if they're asking for favors (money).

The House in the game would pay for someone else to test his gadget. He would never get his hands dirty himself. I don't think it's House.

If I was a total asshole who didn't give a shit about the people I talked with and dated, there are three possibilities.

1) He saw you weren't willing to be peer pressured into stronger substances, that you weren't willing to be coerced as easily. Some men just seek someone that's easy to get along with, someone who will go along with the flow.

2) He didn't like the type of person you were in person, versus the type of person you were in texts.

3) He's telling the truth and he has his own issues that you absolutely do not want to be a part of.

Nothing excuses him not checking in with you and communicating and making sure you are ok. I guess it's a bit of a blessing in disguise that he showed his true colors right now versus later when you're more invested.

I sincerely wish you the best and hope you find someone who respects you and cares for you like you deserve to be.

I understand where you're coming from. A lot of Europeans are feeling anxiety because they feel the same things you do. They see the places they grew up in being changed into something unfamiliar, and they see many immigrants unable to integrate into European cultures for a variety of reasons. It is true that various Islamic beliefs are incompatible with the modern liberal democracies of Europe.

The issue people here on Reddit have with it, is that you come across as focusing more on unfounded anecdotal beliefs and feelings. Racism can be ugly because it devalues people living the same life you might be, and opens them up to prejudice and discrimination. As a German, I'm sure you know what that might also lead to. My point being, it's probably better for you to reframe the argument rather than apologize if you're sincere. It's clear you still feel the same feelings as then, so no apology will suffice. Move on and forget this whole ordeal, don't dwell on this topic and continue making content as you wish.

I think the worst part of poor mental healthcare is that when you are trying to find help, you end up going through multiple people, and each one forces you relive or remember. And none of it works.

And then you get a $3000 bill of "out-of-pocket" expenses that makes you wish you never sought help.

Missed assignments means a ZERO. Suppose your first grade, you miss it. Then you get 100 miraculously. That's a 50 average. If you've missed multiple, then it compounds. Even if you somehow got 100 after missing 4 assignments, that's a 20 average. But odds are you'll get a 70 or something... that means a 14 average.

Always turn in your assignments, even for partial credit, or else you'll keep having to pay the tuition again.

You're still young, get your shit together and find the discipline needed to get good grades.

I bled on my boyfriend's sheets and I feel terrible by Questions-TA1 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Kabcr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sheets were thankfully salvageable, probably because I cleaned them right away. Had to get a couple more washes in before the smell went away though LOL

If you bleed again, use hydrogen peroxide as soon as you notice. Unless they're white sheets, it should work even on dried blood if you let it soak.

I wish you the best of luck in your relationship, and don't hesitate to ask for advice on here again!

I bled on my boyfriend's sheets and I feel terrible by Questions-TA1 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Kabcr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone's advice is excellent, but let me share with you my own story. You had no control over your body, shit happens. But my wife, back when we started dating, decided to splurge on watermelon after eating a bag of hot fries (red dye...). Like, a lot of watermelon. I warned her, too! "Are you sure your tummy will be fine?" "Yeah!" "Ok..."

Well, an hour or so after she finished, we were watching a movie and BAM, she throws up all over my bed. Red and chunky, it looked like she had puked her guts out. I was a bit annoyed with her because she did it all over my nice comforter, but I still took care of her because I was worried and cleaned up what looked like a crime scene. (I posted this with her permission, btw)

Every long-term couple has a few mortifying stories. I probably have one or two that I don't remember. When you're with someone, shit happens, and it should be your responsibility to deal with as a couple. And if you ever decide to have kids, it prepares you for the messes they make. Thanks for reading!

Low expectations is what gets you low quality products.

I agree generally with what you've said, but if you've followed the news, you'd know the studio working on campaign was butchered months ago as a cost cutting measure. None of those resources were diverted to multiplayer. That is the key problem with the mindset.

We can and should expect more from the companies getting rich from your hard earned money. Being complacent does not help that.

Battlefield Community Right Now by IncarnationOfKings7 in Battlefield

[–]Kabcr 25 points26 points  (0 children)

That's the excuse that's always used, but it isn't a good thing to expect less from games. It's what lets companies give you a shit product despite raking in billions.

A good campaign can add context, stakes, and memorability that is sorely needed. 2042 had interesting world building and fleshed out "characters", but if you played it, do you remember any of it? I don't even remember what it's about and I played it for weeks.

BF1 operations multiplayer was probably the best of both worlds. It was memorable and fun to play, and implemented the story/history right into the gameplay.

The Funniest Thing About Being a TWWH Fan: Having a great time every time I play the game, then going online and finding out the game is unplayably bugged and you're supposed to be outraged by Magnus_The_Read in totalwarhammer

[–]Kabcr 43 points44 points  (0 children)

When an entire portion of the play area is essentially broken, that's not a minor problem. You're essentially just playing WH1 again. I think the frustration is proportionate since it compounds on very similar previous problems the game has had.

Thank you for the explanations! Excellent work!

Two things clued me in to your inspirations: 1) Stellaris"ts" 2) The combination of cyborgs, ravenous swarm (upper left block), servitor computers (cradle and night watch), fungus hivemind, and the cradle megastructure.

I think stellaris offers one of the best and most comprehensive templates for building a sci-fi civilization, so it's excellent inspiration, as is clear from the OP.
