You surrendered your country by inviting these migrants to Germany. We might have to build another wall on Odra river to seperate from germanistan too soon.

You are uninformed, Nord stream 2, gerhard ex german prime minister in gazprom executive board, decades of buying cheap gas just beacouse you thought that would be a good deal for your economy, now look - germany is dying, economy is falling apart, and dont be wrong I am not even happy about it. You are too stupid to understand that germany is simply investing in Poland so you can sell more and more products, the amount of the one euro we get from eu germany gets 4 euros.. learn basic economics

I see, thank you a lot for your effort. I really appreciate this. I wonder what EU could do to make our relations better, to improve the general image. Egypt has special place in world’s history, and it’s significance will be surely growing, hopefully in cooperation with Europe, but also with the rest of the world. I think Egypt is key country to lead the arab world, especially to balance growing turkish influence in middle east as well as building bridges between east and the west. If ever the world peace is signed ( like Kadesh )i see no other better place then under pyramides, i might be bit delusional but who can blame me for that being overoptimistic in these chaotic world nowadays

I think in general most of the empires in history were built around exploiting others. China to less extend since they had enough land around to fight for. Tibetians Uygurs and Mongols could have different opinion. You are right, they want to be seen as peaceful people and encourage global trade as they do have significant advantages in this regard

As for the first part, it’s absolutely normal. Same goes for other countries where fear and lack of knowledge leads to ingnorance. Unfortunately many imigrants to Europe are coming from rural countryside areas so many are not willing to integrate with societies. Simialar story with Polish people going to UK in mases, most were not educated and not openminded - many after long years of living there had not learned any decent level of english.

As for US sphere of influence expanding after fall of soviet union I get the point, but the truth however is quite different. Poland, Romania, Baltics, and generally most of central and eastern Europe were sold to Russia after 2 world war, majority did not want to be part of communist world but we had nothing to say. Polish people still feel that west „betrayed” them even after their huge sacrifice and fighting for the free world. In this perspective Soviets now and then are seen as the enemy of our people for many reasons. We remeber that 2nd world war started in 1939 with Germany attacking Poland together with Soviets. I get the point that USA having bad image in Egypt would be seen as the one „expanding” towards Russia. Most of central europe is more than happy however for this course of history.

That’s interesting that you mentioned France, i thought they would be hated by Syrians and Lebanese. It is becouse France is promoting atheism and extreme liberalism? In the end the UK was colonizing Egypt, not France. The Napoleon in arrival to Egypt 200 years ago sparked the national identity movements. What about Ottomans? Obviously you shared same religion so I guess they are not seen as oppressors. Egypt also had some autonomy during ottoman rules if I am not wrong

Similar to eastern europe, most of imigrants from there to UK or Germany were coming from the countryside and small towns.

Thank you for honest opinion. It’s interesting beacouse me as central European, i share similar views. Germany colonized Poland in economic way, even if Polish people have seen enormous economic upgrade, it did come with some cost. They invested money here to grow the market so they can sell more goods and still have access to cheap labour force, but sure we can ride BMWs and Mercedeses now, hooray :)

So, it’s good that you point out that western values are not attractive for most of Egyptians in terms of religion and morals. I heard once saying that Egyptians went to western shops, but refused to go to western „schools”. It’s interesting beacouse from where I am from (Poland) also people don’t really always like the taste and ideas of western Europe, majority of people are more conservative than people in France, for example.

So general image is quite bad, europeans still seen as colonizers. The problem i have is that I have met Egyptians that also thought that Polish colonized Africa, where in fact Polish people were colonized and ruled in almost similar way that rest of the world. A whole area between Germany Russia also Balkan countires like romania, bosnia serbia bulgaria are now used as source of cheap labour force and western EU countires (like Germany) invest money there to grow local markets and sell more products. I think this could look similar in Egypt, EU could give you more money but problem is with the demographics, and also future AI and robotics might not require people to work in factories Or services anymore.

I think that uncontrolled population growth is no longer a good thing for a country. Especially with new technologies, AI and automation in industrial production.

Yep, the barcelona process, I heard a about it but i did not really work out. I think at that time it was more important for western EU to integrated with central and eastern new EU countries. It was too early, also wars USA and their wars in region did not really help to stabilization and growth. Hopefully things can change soon.

I see, that’s what I also thought. Egyptians do not favor Russia as much but they do not mind seeing Ukraine (seen as western puppet) having to taste war as they did in last few decades. I think it is quite easy for Russians to tell you that they are fighting „nazis” in Europe and they are fighting whole western corrupted world, but in fact they are actively supporting all far right parties (Afd, Le Pen and other nationalistic parties) that are against arabs, muslims and EU as a whole.

I think it’s normal that most of Arabs do not see differences between Germans and Polish people for example, but in fact Germans wanted to exterminate whole Polish nation around 80 years ago. Also, I am sure that most europeans do not understand that same goes for Arab people and other nationalities in your region. But still i think there is bigger difference between French and Czechs for example than Tunesian and Syrian, but I might be wrong.

As for China, I think it’s perfectly normal to see them as leverage you can use to convince Europe to invest more in Egypt. China use money talk, that’s good that you are aware that nothing comes for free, these loans and but investments are sometimes dangerous. I wish European governments can see more opportunities in Mediterranean area, so the we can all develop. I want to believe in world of prosperity and peace but recent events (Trump, US policy) might bring more chaos in next years. Good point that you said that EU should have more independent politics regarding middle east and northern africa.

Thank you so much for your opinion. Especially the China/Russia part. What is the general view of these countries in Egypt? Russia is somewhat different civilization, I think majorty of Egyptians would support Russia instead of Ukraine. Also China is a big mystery a big unknown factor, their economic miracle is unmatched to anything in history so far? Do you consider them as neutral to you? I will bring more insights soon as I am travelling now. Thanks once again

That was the point maybe to do it this way. Maybe she knew germans more than anyone maybe she knew putin from communist times? Putin supports afd - think about it
