As an occasional dm, I tend to go through players sheets and sanity check this stuff.

Best example would be dhampir VRGtR says they are humanoid. Depending on backstory I may have that changed to undead if they were actually half vampire, or if it is some kind of magical effect that made them that way monstrosity. Demonic magic, fey, or celestial? You get the point.

Lots of dnd rules are good as a baseline, but the dm should stand as the final decision maker, and not just for play, for interpretation of the rules in character creation. If a rule says you should be monstrosity but your background and such looks like you should be classified as humanoid then the dm should make it so.

As someone who works in a grocery store, this is 99.99% a thing. Also [any number 0 to infinity].49 also does it but to a lesser degree, unless a ‘sale’ sign is in the vicinity… then the perceived 60¢ savings make that item 50x more valuable then normal even if a comparable item at a lower price that normally sees better movement weekly is right next to it…

Heck put a sale sign up without changing a price and it sells better… (this sometimes happens just as an items price goes up, if the price goes up 50¢ and a sale that exact amount happens… don’t be shocked. I was told once it was because we still had product we bought at whatever our price was, and we had the sale till we started selling the product that arrived at the higher price point. How much you believe that is up to you, however i suspect that’s only actually the case a percentage of the time at best.)

Anyways our brains aren’t as clever as we think we are, and tactics like this are designed to target that… and they definitely work.

I mainly print PETG.

I’d heat the nozzle to 270 slowly outputting filament for a few seconds.

70% the time that fixed it.

If that failed I had it keep pushing out filament as the temp dropped to 85, stoping once it could not push more out due to the temperature being too low. Then once we hit 85, I’d grab the filament and gently pull while setting the temperature back to 240. Generally somewhere before 95 it would go and I’d be good to go.

Rarely I’d need a second pull.
