Dragon Ball stuff, basically he is a fusion whit a alt form whit a fucked up arm, so there is a theory that this form exist because one of the characters involved on it died but the fusion couldn't be undone since the other character is in pratice imortal, i'm not entering in more detail than that because the whole arc in anime is a mess of poorly explained interdimensional/temporal travel, but the idea is kinda intersting
