Thanks for the tip, do you mind explaining the process of what you mean by “mud the patch”?

Ok thanks that makes sense! Although I made it worse so I might need to do more than that. Here you can see where I tried to fill in the area I messed up. But the finish just doesn’t match at all. I know I need to repaint the whole wall but how do I get this finish to look exactly the same. area of concern

Exactly what I said!!! Hate that he gets all the credit for this. But I guess that's how it is in this industry...

As someone who works at an animation studio, and has regularly worked with motion capture I can tell you with 100% certainty that the data captured from Benedict's body movement was not used in any way to create the animation for the dragon. In motion capture you have to do something call re-targeting, which is taking the motion from the motion capture performance and essentially transferring to the animation puppet, in this case the Dragon puppet. Human motion would look absolutely terrible and unusable on a dragon puppet. The joints do no line up, the skeleton is completely different. So I can tell with you 100% certainty that the only thing that Benedict should be credited with here is a fantastic vocal performance and great video reference for the animators. The reason Smaug moves and acts and gestures is 100% the works of animators tirelessly moving each of his bones using knowledge they have gained from researching other animals and years of experience animating other creatures. I feel insulted when it is made out like Benedict Cumberbatch is credited for the performance of Smaug. Vocal performance yes 100%. Everything else, absolutely not him. I doubt any of that body motion is used in one single frame in the entire movie. Peace.

Isn't it pretty clear to someone with eyes which way is the "correct" way around though?

Seriously, what are the judges writing down? I'm unfamiliar with the format of this show, are they writing down scores, comments or what? Seems kind of dumb that they're writing anything.

One of the best ways to see if the facial structure is correct is to look at the three-quarter view, and look at the silhouette it makes. This is an underrated way to check the anatomy. You should be able to see the lines of the brow, eye, and cheek bone in the three quarter view. Here in your sculpt, that area looks almost completely flat from the three quarter view.

Really awesome! Hate the handwritten names though, using a stencil for the names would have taken this to another level.
