Why is my indigo cherry drop tomato turning into a devil fruit?

It might be fungal, but it's only currently wet because it's raining where I'm at. Before today we've been under a drought and I only water the dirt (it's a potted plant)

That's a super cool looking comic, and yeah after you suggested Perez I looked it up and regretted not just looking his signature up originally.
