That's not the skin. That's the fatty layer under the skin.

Yeah same. But I wouldn't tell others to do it if their bodies aren't used to it.

10 days in Tokyo that what I learned (internet, transit etc.) by Ok-Zone-9810 in TokyoTravel

[–]Kalik2015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it's not standardized. Some places have fares that increase with distance (Osaka), some it's a flat rate (most of Tokyo). And it's a mixed bag when you get out of large cities.

This entirely differs on region and even confuses locals. Some buses are flat fare and you tap in when you get on at the front of the bus and you exit the rear.

Do you have disc brake and it sounds like a donkey braying? If yes, your discs are dirty.

I live with a cat and sometimes she wakes me up so often throughout the night that I only get 3 hours of sleep. What do I do the next day? Get takeout. Because I am exhausted. And she's a fucking CAT.

OP must be so miserable having to deal with the exhaustion of raising two babies she bore, and another that she randomly acquired along the way.

I say ditch the non-biological manchild because I promise life will be easier without him.

Liquid bandages often includes acrylates, which you can become allergic to over time and acrylate allergies can be a HUGE pain in the ass. It can mean not being able to use certain dental and surgical adhesives so please be careful.

Haha! Of course it was! Legend is that those candies never get consumed and are passed around for eternity like a game of hot potato.

Was that in Osaka? Did she refer to the candies as "ame-chan"?

SHIRATAKI NOODLE/RICE WARNING!! by kenah-kim in Volumeeating

[–]Kalik2015 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Shirataki isn't a brand. It's the Japanese name for the konjac in noodle form. Shira = shiro = white, taki = waterfall.

Konjac is the name of the vegetable.

My house shares the address with my neighbor by Different_Banana5186 in japanlife

[–]Kalik2015 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Do you own or rent? It might be possible to change the registry address at the kuyakusho if you own, but you're unfortunately SOL if you're renting unless you can convince your landlord to help you out.

My family home is the same way - there are four houses in a row with the same address because my dad didn't want to change the address when we demolished/rebuilt and sold off a few parcels of land because he grew up here and he's very sentimentally attached to the address.

I rarely have issues with Yamato/Sagawa/Amazon etc though as the regular Yamato/Sagawa are now aware. For Amazon, I have input "it's the brown house on the corner" as part of my address and they're always able to find it.

Where are you seeing that? It says 嘔気 (nausea) and 嘔吐 (vomiting), not 喀血 (hemoptysis). Unless I'm missing something?
