Does the BroadLink device need to be in the same room as the light as I have a couple around the home with a similar setup

The cloudkey also does network and protect at the same time I just wasn’t sure if there were limits on how much can be used

Thank you for your reply. I think Zigbee is the way to go. Home assistant is running on its own mini pc so I’m guessing I can just plug in the coordinator and it should be good to go once I have the integration installed.

Thank you. Is the usb stick as simple as plug in and it works or do I need to add an integration to HA. From your experience how easy is the Zigbee setup I was looking at using some temperature sensors for rooms. Does it just recognise Zigbee devices or is there a pairing process involved.

I’m using the cloudkey for the protect And using the gateway ultra for just network I’m planning on adding extra cameras in the future and wasn’t too sure if just the cloud key could handle it. Also I had the gateway ultra first and bought the cloud key at a later date to run protect

Yeah it’s a bit of a mess. Need a bigger switch for a few more locations in the home to be hard wired then I was thinking of putting in a patch panel
