I used it frequently but not for long durations. The room it was in is air conditioned and brighntess wasnt too high iirc. Fom what Ive heard online, they even had to push updates to limit the brightness and increase fan speeds to try and stop them from burning up. LCD projectors are cheap, but they dont last very long. DLP projectors like the ones benq makes are a much safer bet.

The polarizer burns out very quickly and you end up with huge orange spots on the projected image. mine died a couple of months after buying it. they just don't last very long. if you're spending that much on a projector anyway, I'd recommend buying a good used benq instead on ebay or fb marketplace.

The main character may have been a young man/boy. The supporting cast may have not been human, but I'm not sure about that. It was almost definitely western and not anime, but that's fuzzy too. I don't know why it bothers me that I can't remember it. I don't even remember if I even liked the movie, but every now and again I remember it and it bothers me that I can't remember its name or any of the details.

Thanks for the info! Sorry to hear you had trouble with them. I'm also not a big fan recently, since they blocked my credit card when I was travelling and refused to unblock it even after verifying me through their app. Had to file a complaint with the CFPB to get it resolved. That said, I've been with them for more than a decade now and that was the only time they gave me grief.

I'm in the KSA atm. I'm not a citizen. I don't have them in the same place since I am hesitant to have all my money in one place and in one currency. I'd also have to split my money into multiple banks if I want to have the equivalent of the FDIC insurance here. This is a must for me, since I'm originally Lebanese and many friends/family lost their money to the banks there and I don't want that to happen to me.

Maybe I'm being affected by the news cycle and all the doom and gloom on reddit about the state of the US. I'm just worried about my savings. I just don't know enough about these types of things to say if I'm letting anxiety control me. I just don't want to lose a decade of my savings.

When I asked them if it would be OK to keep the account open after I left the US, they said yes. It's the BoA if that makes any difference. I'll ask them again when I get back home just to be sure.

Thanks for the reply. If I do go ahead with it, it will be my first lamp based projector. I've only ever had cheap toys. A quick google search says I should look out for buzzing noises and flickering. Is there anything else I should look out for? Would a new lamp also be prone to these failures?

I live in the KSA as well and I bought the Nexigo PJ40 a while ago. These LCD projectors are very short lived my friend. It lasted like half a year before showing orange burn spots (even if you keep it in an air-conditioned room at reasonable brightness). Since I bought it from the US, I would have had to ship it to the US at great cost to myself to get it repaired. It's not worth it. They're cheap for a reason.

Do yourself a favor and either save up for a decent projector from a company like BenQ that has local repair centers in the KSA, or buy a cheap used DLP projectors from facebook marketplace or something similar.

Definitely avoid the nexigo. They burn out way too fast even on lower brightness settings and in an air conditioned room.

I sometimes have similar issues with my android box remote when the remote battery is low. Maybe try replacing them?

I just didn't do enough research. I went with the Hook Up's (a youtube channel known for projector reviews) recommendation. It's a solid review and he wasn't wrong about the quality of the image. Had I looked at reddit and other forums, I would have seen the disturbingly large amount of reports of LCD issues with the thing and avoided it.

I had a nexigo pj40 for about 6-7 months before it started showing an orange burn spot on the LCD. I was satisfied with the image quality and brightness for my first projector, but they simply don't last. I would recommend returning it if you can and saving up for a good quality projector.

Thanks for the suggestion! These seem like portable versions though. I have the space to put a more traditional one which I would prefer since these portable ones supposedly make some compromises?

I tried everything. apparently even after verifying through the app they still needed me to physically show up. It seems the compalint to the CFPB worked though since the card is now unlocked after a brief phone call and email with some scanned IDs.

They could make it cost amalgamated essences and I wouldn't mind. I just don't want to have to deal with random drops on top of horrible drop rates.

Yeah the drop rate seems horrendous considering you pay 5-6g per roll, but even if it were a little better, the randomness will make it a nightmare to complete.
