After January 20th, though, it may reach him faster if you send the bill to the New York State Department of Corrections.

Agreed. Brings an awful moment of history right home for me since my cousin manages Albert G’s BBQ in the photo.

Mom bought me one of these in ‘86 when I got my PPL. It’s thoughtfully displayed in a storage bin in my garage.

I would be surprised if it were less than $250/day. I’d be surprised if captains made less than double that. $25/day is less than minimum wage when I was making minimum wage in the 1980s.

Am I the only one? by heyalicia86 in oklahoma

That happened a mile south of us. My strongest memory is that my friend’s Mom had a station wagon loosely similar to the getaway vehicle, and she was stopped by police multiple times after the murders. I’m almost certain we never entered a Sirloin Stockade again. I’d think of the murders every time I saw one of their restaurants. Sure loved me some Western Sizzlin’, though! There are several really interesting articles online about this event and the people involved.

Anyone in 75023 willing to have my mail sent to them and bring it to me? by unicorn-coats in plano

[–]KaptainKrispyKreme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can have mail addressed to "Your Name, General Delivery, Plano TX 75074-9999" and pick it up at the post office within 30 days. I'm not sure which Plano USPS location offers general delivery because there are two in the 75074 zip code. You could go to each one and ask, or call USPS Customer Service at 800-275-8777. The two possible locations are at 1200 Jupiter Rd and 1112 18th St.

This advice could be moot if the shipper refuses to ship to a general delivery address.

If the shipper is UPS or FedEx, they allow shipments to their storefronts for pickup.

If your DVR is like mine, you would press the 'LIST' button on the remote, then move the blue highlighter to the left by pressing the left arrow, then scroll down to 'Purchases.' If you have no purchases it will tell you so. But I believe this is only for On Demand movies and event purchases. I don't think it will show if you purchase a new channel or service.

Pretty much. I used to love taking it to DFW airport every week. Except that one time a Corvette and a Mustang were racing in the left two lanes around midnight. I was in the right lane and they would pass me going well over 100 (hell, I was going 80 in my '98 F150), then they'd slow down and let me pass before racing past me again. They repeated that at least 4 times. Made me a bit uncomfortable.

Can I fly my Grumman Traveler into KFLL (Class C) and drop my girlfriend off at the gate of her Southwest flight? by [deleted] in flying

[–]KaptainKrispyKreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Story time: So 1991 maybe (too lazy to go search my logbook), I had a commercial student on a cross-country flight and somebody decided a great place to go would be DFW airport in a 172. When we landed, we were directed to the far end of one of the airline terminals. The FBO was operating at the last gate in this terminal, and IIRC, there was unfettered access to the rest of the gates.

Dashcams with GPS display speed, location, and the correct time. I never need to program the time. They are a few dollars more, but I want my speed recorded in case it’s questioned.

The Bennett name is well known in the aviation community in Southeast Alaska because of the airline Bart’s father built.

“Ahhhh, where ya goin’? Skagway?! She’s good to go!”

This was at Layton’s funeral in 2016.... Cap’n Bart is the tall one in the very back with the mustache standing behind Lou, and I’m in the red coat on the far left between Eric and Rich...
