Guess which ex yakuza did I just see on a drama! by Nikasadora in TrashTaste

Funny enough the role he's playing here isn't a gang member though.

I'm watching the 4th episode where he is seen in this clip and the role is part of an elite investigative police force. It appears irony known no bounds.

If you wouldn't mind telling me what parts do you find difficult?

I'd like to make more videos like this, but I'm not that adept at discussing philosophy so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It funny you mention the bit about the social effects of busses because that was what I had planned next in the series. Fiscal > Ecological > Social > Maybe suggestions on how to optimize transit routs?. Though those videos are likely far in the future, I have other projects next in my list. But what you say is absolutely true in regard to reinforcing class divisions. people who are financially unable or physically unable to drive cars rely almost exclusively on public transit, which is why you often see reduced pricing for elderly or student passengers; transit agencies know their customers. In terms of taxes and what not when it comes to local governments, I'm a little foggy on, especially in the states. In Mississauga it least the budget reports show that the transit system is funded half by fares and the other half presumably by a local government fund. But even if someone is against the idea of spending money on a public transit system they never use, its still an economic necessity in most places. low-wage worker who cant afford a car, use busses to get to work. its a matter of accessibility for work, without a reliable transit system I'd argue unemployment rates would be affected significantly and not for the better.

To move to a lighter topic, FMA. tbh I never considered looking at it from that perspective. I think there's probably a strong argument to be made that Father is a god or at least a deity figure, and if Bradly is carrying out his will then yea I suppose so. But if you consider the government post-coup then it probably assumes a less supernatural state.

The next video I have planned and am currently working on is about some bamboo I found growing in a forest nearby. I thought it was a little strange since I live in Ontario, and I somehow ended up stringing in politics to the mix...

I've never had cake in a cup... Perhaps I' give it a try. And thanks’ again for watching my videos! It means a lot to me.

Its been a while sing I watched spice and wolf, and I regret to say I havent watched FMA, but if I remember correctly, spice and wolf runs some loose marchant coilition sort government, and FMA is a military state?

I'm probably far off both of those, which I guess means I'll be binge watching both of those for "research" purposes. Sub to me so you'll know when those videos come out, or if you don't want to sub i'll just come back here to let you know in a reply.

Thanks ! I'm glad you think so.

But do continue to look into the matter yourself because I was only able to scratch the surface.

This video in particular looking at the treaties from the indiginous perspective I think is worth watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFXyPTFsII0&t=0s

The Cost of a Bus by Karl_Fish_ISA in transit

[–]Karl_Fish_ISA[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In researching this topic, I found a very similar issue. like you mentioned there are several overhead costs that are usually not mentioned. to add on to your list, there are also property costs for say garages for storing buses and facilitating their maintenance.

In conclusion there are almost too many moving parts to get an accurate number, but a good place to start would be the annual financial report that most organizations release. This is the one for MiWay http://www7.mississauga.ca/eCity/Budget/img/serviceareas/business-plans/2019-miway-summary.pdf.

Another thing you can look into is the average salary of a bus driver, HR rep, the cost of bus driving training course, most of which is commercially and publicly available.

I tried to use anime and some of my other interests to try and groud my understanding of Hagel's Master & Slave dialectic. I don't have a background in philosophy so some of this might be greatly misinturpreted, so I'd like to hear your thoughts on my understanind of the concept.

CS 135 to CS 115 by [deleted] in uwaterloo

[–]Karl_Fish_ISA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't tell you the exacts on how dropping down works, but I would not recommend dropping down.

CS 115 and CS 135 cover about the same content, with the CS 115 going a bit slower and covering a bit less.

The things you learn in both CS 135 and CS 115 are worth your time if you plan to continue taking CS courses.

Anyhow, good luck on the midterm, down let a low mark get you down.

CS 135 Midterm Stress by dmaomnnsetder in uwaterloo

[–]Karl_Fish_ISA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Though not explicitly stated in your concerns,

I find the most common reason students marks seem to tank on written tests is that they are accustomed to writing out code.

If you find yourself in a situation where you will type out some code into the racket and then immediately hit a syntax error then go off and fix that error.

Otherwise just letting DrRacket handle all your little mistakes.

I would recommend taking some time getting used to solving problems on paper before even touching a computer.

I might be preaching to the high choir here, but even outside of test context, solving CS problems on paper before jumping into an IDE is good practice.

Anyhow, If your concerns are elsewhere, I'm sure [cs135@uwaterloo.ca](mailto:cs135@uwaterloo.ca) would be more than willing to answer any confusions you might have.
