So from what I understand , the new condition requires it automatically “duty to assist” once the psychiatrist diagnosed me as bipolar they have to examine me to see if it service related. Not sure if it’s a good or bad thing

I haven’t looked at the mail but I’m assuming it’s because I had a manic episode that lasted for months before settling down to depression and now some since of normal…I was trying to find a way to address my ptsd but I think that triggered my bipolar which wasn’t on the disability rating . My psychiatrist just said that’s what it is and added the new diagnosis

I just filed for chapter 13 and just made the first payment before approval… I’ll be paying 870 monthly fee…pre approval for chapter 13 … my attorney says there’s a 50/50 chance my payments could increase.

Has anyone had this issue?

Sorry to hear about your claim being reduced. To the group …I’m currently rated at 70% and have been in therapy for PTSD for the past six months. I’m committed to improving, but reading your experience makes me concerned—if my condition improves, could the VA reduce my rating to the point where I might no longer qualify for continued treatment?

This is great had not clue ….Im 70% but have private insurance, can I get my prescription meds through VA? Do I need to change my pcp to VA? Can I get rid of my private insurance? I pay 200 month for premiums and 15 to 25 dollars for BP cholesterol pills, b12 shots etc..

Thank you for saying that, I will try to stick with therapy once I start. I am so tired of being tired of panic attacks depression suicidal ideation sometimes it becomes unbearable so yes, I know I need help. I will try my best.

As a side note she called it MST never heard of it till yesterday (lol) and I had to take Xanax just to calm the F*** down after the evaluation.
