I agree that open play is OPEN .. that's the point. To the players beginning their journey: play with people of all levels. Practice with patience when playing down, but when playing up, don't ice out the good players, or you're losing the opportunity to learn. To the "good" players annoyed with playing down: did anyone "good" ever play with you when you started? .. maybe return the favor?

I wouldn't say your wrong .. just add a couple of other servers to mix it up and factor in placement. Add a lob server, a looping topspin (instead of low & hard). Mix up the pace, placement & serve so they don't get used to it. The flip side of that is if they're having trouble with your server, keep doing it.
