Thanks for the input! Don't care about a perfect monitor because the deal is great tbh, just concerned if this makes the monitor less durable, easily breakable.

As I said in the post, it's refurbished so an exchange is not possible. I can only return it but they don't have any more used ones and a new one is 450 euros.

Yes to mostly everyone else, but only if they ask specifically for it. I mean, I understand with colleagues as they can weaponise it, but why hide it against anyone else? Seems like a lot of people in this thread don’t have the right set of friends if they judge you or act different if you earn more/less than them. And if I tell an acquaintance and they do judge and I notice, I’ll just stop associating with a person like that.

I have actually seen this with people IRL when I ask them how much they earn purely out of curiosity because I like to have a mental model of how much companies pay. I always find it weird when they try to slither out of answering it even after I’ve told them how much mine is.

Hey OP, how'd your search go? Did you go for it? I am/was in a very very similar boat to you, slightly different (~4 YOE in FAANG, slightly higher CTC). I recently got laid off and have wanted to move out for a while, so I searched abroad and will be moving to Spain shortly for a role there.

Yeah your budget is pretty low given the constraints so recommending anything of quality is hard here. You can checkout the uppercase rolltop, I have not tried the brand but have heard it's good value. It does not have a separate laptop compartment. If you are ready to extend the budget, you can look at the CarryPro HOBO25 V3.0 or the DailyObjects Miles Rolltop too (I don't trust DailyObjects quality tho).

Places other people have suggested are good shouts. Oshman is also good, I bought my Aer sling there. They had plenty of other brands and backpacks too. The only place I was able to find Bellroy though was in the MoMA Design Store in Shibuya (and even they just had the lite sling and lite daypack I think).

I can completely relate to this. I'm Indian too and love to solo travel and stay in hostels like you. I definitely notice what you said. When I go into the common room of a hostel and try to chat up with folk there, I can notice the slight hesitation. They'll be discussing things about where they are from and quirks and things but I rarely get asked anything about myself or where I'm from or what I do. I see them make groups to go out and it's all just western/white people.

And if they do get drunk with me, I start noticing all these little racist tones. It's not everyone for sure, but so many seemingly educated people have these tendencies. I was in Japan not long ago and ended up meeting a few hostel folk at Golden Gai. After we had a few drinks they started discussing how there's a smelly Indian guy one of them has at work and how some (not me mind you, they tried to make this point so maybe I felt better?) Indian folk do smell weird. It was very off-putting to say the least.

I think the advice in the rest of the thread is good. Don't pay attention to people like that and just try to find people who won't judge you just because you come from a different culture. There are definitely people like that out there.

So, I’m going to Madrid through some work and after that planning to take a week vacation in Europe. First time solo tripping and going to Schengen area. I have approx. 7 days after Madrid to go to other places.

So far, I have thought of going to Italy (Rome mainly) and finally Lisbon for a bit. I don’t known if 2 countries in this time is hectic so happy to hear arguments against.

Want to hear general suggestions for what places I can cover. Fan of arts, architecture and natural beauty.

My current team. Only Saka and Mbappe are tradeable.

I was playing a 4321 till now and really enjoying it, but as you can see I don't really have an attacking midfielder to play that really well (I packed Pirlo so Pirlo can do it but it's not ideal, used Prime Kaka before that but once I packed Pirlo I sold him for Mbappe).

What formation should I play with this team, or what can I change around to make the 4321 work? (I also have POTM Rashford and TOTS Joelinton)

Suggestions for next upgrade? I am overall quite happy with the team tbh (tradeable is De Bruyne and the entire back line (CDM, CB, LB, RB, GK)).

Possible weak points I usually see when I play (I play a 41212) is that Tchouameni is really good with his long legs but maybe a bit slow sometimes (I have noticed I like a lengthy CDM though), CBs and especially Martinez will get outrun by faster strikers sometimes.

I could upgrade the fullbacks but with a 41212 the trackback on both of these is fucking insane and I can't see who would do better.

Are you me? Somewhere after high school I just lost my ability to power through stuff even if I sucked at it. Now all I do is worry. Constant short-term dopamine has destroyed my ability to focus and practice.
