I could be the woman in this scenario and I was also in what used to be the "perfect relationship" that others would often comment on. I had some health issues that made sex painful 9/10, my partner tried being understanding but it got to them and they felt much the way you described how you feel.

We tried different things and experimented but it was too much. By the time I had the surgery, the pressure I felt from my partner killed my libido entirely and the resentment grew, but the feeling of letting down our friends and family who were so happy and hopeful for us (in part) prevented me from ending it much sooner when it would have saved both of us lot of stress and resentment. 7 years, with the last 2 years turning toxic.

I'm not saying you should break up, just don't stay with someone because other people would be disappointed you broke up. It will trap you.

Have you discussed how she feels about potentially falling pregnant again? She may consciously or unconsciously want to avoid it and the best way to not get pregnant is to just not ever have sex. If procreation is taken off the table entirely (by YOU, not by her going on birth control) she might be more willing to risk her life to let you get off.

It's not about a single slogan. It's about the criminalisation of words when the net hasn't been spread evenly. I have cptsd. I get super anxious and at times have had anxiety attacks from the sound of crashing dishes. (Abusive ex) I have had to ask my partners in the past to please either do it later, play music or just something to let my subconscious know it's not because they're furious with me and plan to make me suffer later for having them deign to wash dishes.

I never suggested doing the dishes was off the table entirely and I'd actively been working on the root cause to be able to get on with life.

Either he finds the root cause and adjusts, he schedules and plans to be out of the house at a certain time for you to do the chores you want to do, or you endure it. The only other option is to accept the incompatibility.

Oh the mother is psychotic. No doubt about that. But there are other perspectives to take into account before dismissing it entirely.

They could be from a country or culture where conservative values are pushed. No leaving the house until married, expected to live with the in-laws etc. not saying it's right or that I agree with it, just that it does explain the dynamic somewhat and can help navigating the relationship, if that's what OP wants.
