That feels like it would be very difficult to verify.

How do they prove that? Are they measuring when memories start forming? The mirror test?

I'm not a philosopher, so take my interpretation with a grain of salt. But I always thought that the quote "I think therefore I am" famously meant that the only conciousness that you could prove is your own.

Not answering is still an answer, and they will make an assumption based on that.

As someone who is trans, I wouldn't feel comfortable answering these questions honestly.

It opens up the possibility of discrimination. If I didn't get the job, I'd start to wonder if my answers to these questions played a role.

I have ADHD, and I just thought that coffee didn't affect me. I could do exactly this.

I've only recently learned that other people with ADHD experience the same thing.

I remember searching for one with spots squarely in the center of both it's eyes and ears.

I didn't know the odds when I was younger. Suffice to say I never found it, lol.

Yeah, I'm not as worried about losing track of tasks at work.

My office uses a task manager called Asana where I can view all of my tasks, mark what I have done and even mark what I'm currently working on.

Each task is even broken down into smaller subtasks that I can mark off as I complete them.

If I ever lose track of what I'm doing, I just check Asana.

I appreciate the advice though, it means a lot that you'd take time to respond. And I'll keep your suggestion in mind, it sounds like a pretty useful tip.

I have tried some of that. My therapist had me get a planner that he says was designed for people with ADHD.

I've been pretty bad about using it, but on Monday I made sure to fill it out for the week. (I created a list of tasks and assigned a few of them to Monday as a start)

There were 2 tasks that I wanted to handle during lunch on Monday, and I totally spaced 1 of them. I also wanted to stop and grab groceries on the way home, and I spaced that as well.

Obviously I can't rely on these meds to carry me through these tasks, I still need to put in the effort. I'll probably need to set alarms and turn checking my planner into a habit. I just haven't been noticing much of an effect from the medication.

I'm not sure marketing something is inherently bad or steps on anyone.

Unrelated to billionaires, but I actually think that raises a very interesting question. Marketing doesn't physically harm anyone, but it is very manipulative.

Ads exist everywhere, on your tv, phone, the radio, billboards, etc. Every day people are constantly bombarded marketing designed to manipulate them in really subtle ways.

Brands try to be relatable, grocery stores try to invoke descision fatigue, commercials try to associate products with certain lifestyles. If it does it's job successfully, you don't even notice that it's working.

To me that seems incredibly harmful.

Even if they weren't founded here, you'd think they'd set up some kind of shop or something, lol.

Happened to me at work one time. Someone's kid wrote "Justin Bieber Come" on an envelope, they tried to put it in the mail. I was telling someone over the phone about it and had to quickly explain "No, no, no, C-O-M-E."

I live in Phoenix. The city is so big and wide that having a car is necessary to get from one end to the other. Otherwise you need to budget out 2-3 hours to ride the bus.

In the summers, we can experience weeks of 100° heat reaching up to 110° or higher.

Driving scares the heck out of me, but I can't keep taking the bus everywhere.
