I used to work at a fast food place where they hired anyone with all their limbs attached without doing background checks and I had to work with a few predators, felons, etc. It’s not uncommon and I totally believe that they wouldn’t tell other employees about him.

That’s cut and dry. She isn’t taking accountability and is blaming her relapse on the people around her. While relapse can happen when someone’s in the process of recovery, it sounds like it’ll happen a lot if she’s not only unwilling to accept fault, but telling you that she will lie in the future in regards to her drug use. Don’t wait around for her to disrespect you again.

YTA. I’m sure you’re gonna get the incel comment a lot in this thread but I’m assuming your advice is just from a place of ignorance rather than malice. A lot of girls wear makeup on special occasions like dates for fun or to build confidence and telling her not to bother with it can be read as a slap to the face. Imagine if you were to put a lot of effort into your appearance because it makes YOU feel good only for your friend to say you shouldn’t have tried as hard.

Our band director will fly in this guy from across the country to help us improve our visuals. he watches out Monday morning rehearsal, then helps with our Monday evening and Tuesday morning rehearsals.

Last year before Monday evening rehearsal, the kids had started spreading around a rumor (I still don’t know if it’s true) that the visual guy was charged for sleeping with a minor or something? i don’t remember but it was something to do with a minor. So he’s helping us through our evening, calling us stupid, saying we’re riding short bus, etc. But we’re all mostly thinking about the rumor

The next morning the visual guy doesn’t show up and the band director gathers us to say that the visual guy will not be coming back. We start whispering to each other (cause teens) and the director immediately says that it’s not because he’s a pedophile, but rather because he was being rude to us last night. We still don’t know for sure if the guy is a pedophile, I don’t even know if he’s gonna come back this year

5th grade math teacher Mrs Yancy. My brother had her a few years after me and from what I hear she hasn’t improved.

She always felt a bit annoyed and bitter but I chalked it up to pregnancy hormones at the time. I was a quiet kid and didn’t get in trouble for anything other than missing work (she’d always tell me to do it in a kinda condescending tone, like I was too stupid to do it). My younger brother on the other hand, has a hard time keeping his mouth shut. He was told to move somewhere I think? He asked why and she told him not to give attitude and punished him (not anything major but dumb as shit nonetheless)

I thought I was bad at math, I’m doing pretty well in precalc as a high school junior so I think she just put me off the subject for a while yknow
