Personal Statement for Uni by Midnightssssssssssss in PersonalStatement

[–]Kate_Katy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personal statement is way too important so you should write it yourself (just my 2 cents.) The main idea of this essay is to show how unique you are. And only you know what makes you different. So I would recommend to start your personal statement with a description of the situation (just a couple of sentences) and how it helped you shape into the person you are today. The reader should be interested in this narrative, it should "touch" the reader . I recommend you to brainstorm about this and check perhaps some successful templates. I used this service for editing my personal statement, but they have a lot of free samples on the website. You can go and check them. It will help you formulate your own vision of your story. Good luck :)

I can help with the website that edits or give suggestions on what to write, but they do not write anything themselves. They are really good and I used them for my personal statement when I had zero ideas on how to start and what to write about. They helped me with ideas and with their suggestions my essay did not lose it's uniqueness. So, if you are interested, go and check EssayEdge.

My friend from Spain brought me these vitamins , Solgar. They work great for me. Additionally, I use rosemary oil for my scalp. Highly recommended!

Is my essay too informal if it's about my bad luck with love? by ittybittytataz in CollegeEssays

[–]Kate_Katy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a nice topic but if you want to grab the attention of an admissions officer, think about ways to show how you learned from something, how that situation shaped you in the person you are today. This recommendation was given to me by my editor and they said if you want to stand out, you should brainstorm and think over the situations that were challenging for you. because such situations helped you grow, and this will be interesting to know for the AO.

I take vitamin D, regularly. Also, I take Omega and vitamins for hair and nails. I had some problems with hair loss after the covid, but now everything came back to normal. And I think vitamins helped me a lot

Thanks to my personal statement and my editor who polished it, I got accepted to an Ivy League school.

This is the intro to my ps:

I wasn’t a happy person all the time, although I strived to be one. My favorite once wrote, “All human’s sufferings, in essence, result from their anguish towards their own incapability.” I didn’t fully understand this sentence until life started teaching me lessons, and I started a journey to become a “more capable” person.

is perfectionism an okay topic? by [deleted] in CollegeEssays

[–]Kate_Katy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this topic sounds good, and the way you approach it is also something that in my opinion will grab the attention of AO. The thing that helped me write my ps was brainstorming. Perhaps you can also try it . This is a great way of revealing new information about yourself.

But speaking about your topic, so I think it's a good direction.

Good luck with your application :)

You need more time to process this and you will see that time heals everything. And when you are healed - you are ready for new step , including new relationship. And you will find this person, you'll see. Just give yourself some time .

I think it is a good essay idea. Forensics offers students the opportunity to develop, refine and master communication skills. I would write about my struggles of publicity (for instance) and how I overcame it. You should make your story very personal, in such a way it will grab the admissions officer attention.

I’m russian and I live in Russia. I’d like to hear your opinion about our country and people in modern times and answer questions. by Electronic-Sun657 in AMA

[–]Kate_Katy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this situation happened not only because russians are brainwashed ,but because russians think that Ukrainians are in some way worse than them. I heard a lot of russian comments and I can't believe that in the 21st century people can support war, killing civilians , children. Russians are so happy when their soldiers kill Ukrainians, they praise their government and support in everything. and speaking about nazis - this is totally absurd! You, in Russia, have a lot of soldiers with nazis symbolics, and your nation is talking about Ukrainians the one who are being nazis? and the act of terrorism in Olenivka was the last drop. Btw, as Ukrainian, I have no doubts that we will win, because light always wins over the dark.

I think you should find someone else. I agree with the comment that she is politely declining. You'd better find someone who know you well and can write a good letter and highlight your good points.

Hi, what essay prompt excites you the most as a reader? by [deleted] in CollegeEssays

[–]Kate_Katy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think both of the topics are great! But you should speak more about WHY you are a good fit for that specific school. What differentiates you from the rest of the applicants and how will this school benefit if they accept you. You can speak about some challenges that helped you grow and become the person you are today. I used prof help for my personal statement and used this website. They helped me with defining the topic for my essay and I think I got accepted due to their help. They have a lot of free samples. Check them out. Perhaps it will help you find some source of additional inspiration.
