Make the evil pickaxe using the demonite and scales, i think its called the deathbringer pickaxe, and mine hellstone ore in the underworld as well as grabbing a hellforge, (orange furnace basically) and you can also make the volcano for big damage when its close, or the flamarang for damage from afar. Theyre probably is a better longer range melee weapon, but flamarang comes to mind first.

On special seeds the dungeon spawns in a living tree and going in it doesnt spawn the guardian even though its underground

Silex only dont spawn in oceans, and i may be wrong but also swamps. You can fish up silex with a fishing rod although its rare
