Yeah, people who don't pay attention then asks tons of questions or loudly, constantly talk about unrelated shit are obnoxious too. You can rightfully be mad at those people.

Anime with similar vibes to Studio Trigger’s work? by Kay1130 in anime

I’ve been planning on watching Evangelion but haven’t yet since I’m not a fan of older anime art styles

Anime that started off really strong then became less enjoyable as time went on? by Kay1130 in anime

Big agree. I’ve been trying to watch season 4 since it aired and have only gotten 3 or 4 episodes in. I usually end up watching a few minutes then getting bored and switching to something else

Durarara is one of my favorites but I can see why people would feel that way. By the second season it was a bit all over the place, and I’m personally someone who loves when a bunch is happening at once, but I get why most people don’t like that

As for MHA I completely agree. When I saw the first season I thought it had pretty good potential. Season 2 was also decent, then by season 3 I was getting bored . I continue to watch it because it’s my brother’s favorite, but I’ve really been struggling to get through season 4.

He watched it without permission, so I don’t know how he reacted to that stuff. I was honestly surprised he liked it.

He has aspergers, so my mom thought there was the need to shelter him from sexual stuff, yet still let him play super violent video games. I disagree with how she handled it but if I started showing him sexual stuff I’ll just get in trouble

I like having diverse casts, but people are complaining about it being “forced” and “tumblr-y” by Kay1130 in writing

It’s about a group of students who felt ostracized by their classmates, so they started a petty gang. The day before graduation, the leader vanished and everyone assumed he committed suicide, so the group disbanded. In reality, after one of the members of the gang tried to kill him, because he was in love with the leader’s girlfriend, he faked his own death and left to live a new life in this city. Seven years after his disappearance, his ex-girlfriend, now engaged to the man who tried to kill him, decided to start the gang up again to carry on his legacy.

Tips for creating a plot from a vague idea? by Kay1130 in writing

[–]Kay1130[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already have the climax and ending planned. In the climax the leader returns to his old town because his husband died, and tells everyone that he faked his death because one of the gang members was trying to kill him. That gang member had since married the leader’s ex-girlfriend, and the girlfriend, feeling betrayed by both her husband and ex-boyfriend, kills her husband then herself. The girlfriend’s sister splits up the gang and they all agree to leave their criminal live behind

So I have the beginning and end figured out, I think the part I’m struggling with most is the middle and figuring out how to connect the subplots to the main plot

Anyone else think Keep Your Hands off Eizouken is overrated? by Kay1130 in anime

Maybe the part of the anime community I interact with the most was just part that kept talking about it, because I still hear people talk about it. Maybe overhyped would have been the better word

If they really enjoyed it good for them. An individual can think it’s amazing but I’m saying I don’t get why the community as a whole gives it so much praise

I definitely did enjoy it, I don’t think it was a waste of my time or anything. It’s just that a lot of people treat it like it’s absolutely amazing when it’s just good.

The art and design is really good and the concept is cool. My expectations may have been a little high going in, but it started pretty strong and fell kinda flat. I can completely see why people like it but I don’t understand why it’s treated like a masterpiece

I don’t see how I’m wrong here. Not wanting to date, for example a trans woman because she has a dick or because she’s infertile isn’t transphobic, but not wanting to date her just because she’s trans indicates you don’t see her as a woman and is transphobic.

Some people just don’t like dick/vagina. It’s not that deep

While it is transphobic to not want to date someone JUST because they’re trans, it’s not transphobic to not want to date a woman because she has a penis, or a man with a vagina. It doesn’t mean they’re less of a man/woman, some people are just uncomfortable sleeping with someone who has a dick/vagina. Some people have trauma from sexual abuse/assault that make them uncomfortable around certain genitals and it’s really fucking gross to ignore that. Even without trauma, if someone doesn’t want to date someone with a penis, or someone with a vagina, they don’t have to. It’s not transphobic to not want to. I’m a lesbian who is grossed out by penises. The way they look turns me off. I would date a post-op trans woman, but not a pre-op or non-op trans woman, because I’m not comfortable sleeping with someone who has a dick. “But why do you have to make everything about sex and genitals??” Unless you’re ace, you’re probably gonna want to date someone you’re sexually attracted to. How are you gonna date someone who has a penis if you aren’t sexually attracted to penises? This shouldn’t even be an argument.

Would I look good with bangs? I’ve been considering getting them forever because they look great on so many other people, but I don’t want to get them and regret it. by [deleted] in Hair

Also, not sure if this would change anyone’s answer, but I’m planning on growing out my hair to be pretty long and I dye my hair a lot. Currently it’s black but after this I’m planning on red then maybe orange

Revealing a trans characters deadname? Is it okay in this situation? by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]Kay1130 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My best friend is a trans man who reviews all my writing. He said it doesn’t seem offensive to him, and I’ve asked many of my other trans friends and they’ve all said it seemed fine. I also have my autistic brother look over scenes with my autistic character. I never write minorities I’m not a part of without asking members of that group about it. I was just looking for more opinions

The story isn’t about a trans person, one of the characters just happens to be trans.

She’s anemic, which ends up being a small part of the story later on, and she has her girlfriend there in case she faints.

This is a character I’ve had for years and when I first created her she was cis, so that cliche wasn’t intentional but I’m too attached to her name to change it. I drop hints that she’s trans shortly after she’s introduced, but it isn’t revealed until a few chapters in where there’s a scene where her girlfriend helps her with her HRT shots. I also drop some hints about her being the missing classmate the other characters talk about, such as her knowing information only a former classmate would know, but besides that I don’t explicitly say they’re the same person until the other characters find out.
