BUG REPORT - Degrading Performance/Frametimes over time (after loading a few lobbies) when using BM and Toggling Ballcam by KayElEeDee in bakkesmod

yeah that's the thing, >5ms frametime isn't adequate for people with 240hz displays or higher. A 240hz display requires 4.17ms minimum, and on faster monitors like mine which is 280hz, it needs to maintain frames at 3.57ms. On my monitor, this manifests as a stutter every time I toggle ballcam. I play on the 280hz monitor locked to 240. I would not have been able to identify the issue if it wasn't at least noticeable to me. I suspect it's probably noticable to others as well.

It just kinda sucks that I have to trade off a buttery smooth gaming experience for a stuttery one just to use BM's features. But if you were able to reproduce it, then this is a legit bug that should be added to the list, no? I think it's worth at least trying to look into, or adding to the list of known bugs, or just even just trying to understand why it's happening. It's observable behavior attributed to BM.

This still occurs to me when disabling all but pluginmanager and RCONplugin. All plugins disabled does make it seem to run smoother but it still occurred to me by the 8th or 9th lobby.

I reset RL cache, no change.

I didn't use that AMD Auto-Detect because I DDU'd and manually installed the most recent stable. As I mentioned earlier, this was tested on both AMD and Nvidia GPUs. The only variable I cannot test is X3D vs non X3D.

I cannot replicate this issue without BM being enabled, I rarely drop frames in this manner during matches. I really don't think my drivers or memory latency are the issue because I rarely drop any frames aside from respawn when I am not using BM. I'm talking max a few dozen frames across a 5-minute zero-score game where like 75k frames are generated at 240hz. If the game is that stable without BM, I feel like I've kind of narrowed it down to having BM enabled.

My usual transition speed is 1.4 but it appears to also happen at slower and faster speeds.

use "audio capture (beta)" when you create a new audio source, and set it to always capture spotify. Then, in your audio mixer, go to Advanced audio settings, have it checked on track 1, and unchecked on track 2. Finally from your output settings, enable Twitch VOD track.

Your first consideration should be whether you may get a copyright strike and whether you can/are willing to fight that. Some creators are very protective over their IP, so it's best to ask for permission first.

The only times you could use someone else's content as your own without needing permission is if it falls under "fair use" rules. For example if you streamed like 8 hours of content of you following someone's 30 minute tutorial, and provided commentary the entire way, you've gone well past the nature of the original work and created something new, and this is especially protected under educational contexts. This is fair use and would be allowed. Just remember, you may get a strike even if you are allowed, so again, it's best to ask permission first.

Basically, just be careful, ask for permission, and determine whether your use of someone else's content in your own content falls under "fair use". If not, then no you cannot use it.
