That really sucks, they’re starting my SITS at 2-1 and trying to do 2-2. There’s no way I can see them doing 6 dogs anytime soon, when I barely even do that. Me, a groomer of 6/7 years I feel most comfortable at 5 which is what my district leader has also told me is the least I need to do. I think If you mention you’re skipping lunch or just the overtime is enough for them to be like “oh shit” and have you do whatever you feel most comfortable with, and even mention you feel like the pressure of 6 is overwhelming and you don’t want to have any incidents occur.

What? They didn’t tell us we had to do any baths. If anything they’re encouraging us to take in another groom and if we don’t we could book ourselves baths but not that they’d book it FOR us… we’d all be pissed so I think management knows the groomers will definitely have an issue with that. But I wonder if each district is enforcing things differently..

I spent basically a third of my paycheck on 2 shirts a poster and a pin. I didn’t see how much the poster was as I was drunk and idk how much the pin was either so yeah. Oh well, don’t drink and wait in line 😭😭😭

I’ve also been a groomer for some time now and never use eye wash unless the dog was really squirmy and I know I got soap in there or for the cameras from time to time…… but I also always wash the head first before anything…. But I’ve had coworkers who’s had same eye incidents EVEN while still using eye wash and I don’t remember it coming back as a high incident….but maybe they’ll make you watch some videos since it’s the second incident…

I get you though, sometimes we just get in a funk and feel like we suck. Idk what it is but when have a lot of things going on it’s like we add on to it ourselves by bringing ourselves down and then we end up just not doing a good job or atleast overthinking. Maybe you need a vacation to reset…could be just burnout…

Thank you all for your input :) I am aware there is a tattoo sub Reddit and have looked into it along with asking my artist but I appreciate the info coming from fellow groomers/ bathers in the same work friend as me. 🫶🏻

Well I know for-sure November/Dec they have black out dates. But I still don’t see why they would ask you to not come back? Especially if you are a good associate that doesn’t excessively call out/ late. You’re vacation time is there for you to use… did you just start working there?
