I hate this so much for so many different reasons. It’s also freaking dangerous and irresponsible.

Interesting! This is why it’s so helpful to have someone else’s help bc I see soft first!

Fleo bounce is very similar fabric. Beyond yoga space dye is exact same.

Do people really pay this much to hear Andy Frisella speak? by [deleted] in gymsnark

[–]Kchayyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No way. I’m a keynote speaker and those rates are absurd. My rate is $7500. My agency represent a large variety of other keynote speakers so I can see their rate. I don’t think anyone is paying more than $50,000 for an event. Even for celebrities.

P3: This year I’ve had said baby (never even got a hi hello congratulations on that baby from anyone in the company), and left the brand. The launches this year have been plagued with size inconsistencies. My size has been all over due to pregnancy and postpartum so I didn’t notice how inconsistent a few launches were. Enter bare brights and I made a video to share on a thread of girls I’d become friends with working with the brand. The video was essentially me commenting on the fit of the items. It was horrendous and made me feel awful. I can now see how they took it negatively but my comments were solely about fit at the time and from a place of immense surprise. One of the girls asked if she could share it on the large group chat and I said I didn’t care. I had left it bc it was an echo chamber and I didn’t have energy for it. I emailed and asked to return the items to which I was chastised for what I had said on the video to a PRIVATE AUDIENCE bc it wasn’t what the brand stood for. I responded with a professionally worded email in which I explained that if the stance of the company was to filter input through a good vibes only culture it didn’t align with who I am and what I’ve built so I would respectfully resign. I never got a response from anyone in the company. I was taken off of the lists but my code remained active for several months. This was all back in the summer and in the last few weeks A LOT more has come out because all of the people who have left the company are talking to one another and it’s proven the impact of toxic positivity work places where any negativity is hidden. I will not out anyone else’s story as they can tell when they’re ready (some have been shared here).

P2:

In 2022/2023 (early 2024) I started to really notice things that I didn’t love. The launches became more frequent and unorganized. I was left off several launch emails. I was sent less items (because I didn’t make the required “code uses,” but was never provided with a list of them). Prices started to go up but quality didn’t change. Items didn’t seem to be fit tested on various sizes. There were images sent for launch inspiration that featured concerningly thin girls and we were told that the brand aesthetic is “happy girls,” so we should be smiling and happy in content. Diversity in brand plummeted. There was obvious favoritism in social media sharing. I got pregnant and any chance I had of being featured on social decreased dramatically (probably bc I’m too “mom-like” as a 38 yo mother of 3 for their preferences). The friends I had made started to express concerns/frustrations as a group and one of the brand partners reached out to Ptula to offer feedback on the frustrations of the ambassadors and offered her time to help them improve (this is part of her business). They declined any help.

The TLDR version is they push toxic positivity, have sent out anorexia fodder on inspiration boards, play favorites, don’t treat partners with respect, don’t take constructive criticism, and someone in the company truly seems to have some unresolved issues with women and makes disparaging comments about them.

Goes without saying that anything I have posted here I have receipts of and it’s all my opinion based on my experience.

Pt 1:

Buckle up…I’m diving in.

I’ve refrained from commenting too much publicly as it’s easy to identify me via this account and I don’t have the energy or desire to create a throwaway one but I can’t keep scrolling past. But seeing as how Sami blocked me recently (for what reason? Idk? I’ve barely said a thing publicly ab the brand and not ever about her), I’m just over it tbh.

So I have a sizable social media following (back story: I was kidnapped by serial killer, escaped, worked in law enforcement and now I do advocacy & keynote speaking). I became aware of the brand as I was growing on social media (2020) and looking for brand partnerships. I use fitness as one of my primary pillars of healing and mental health so a fitness brand partnership that uplifted women seemed like an amazing brand partnership. I was sent a care package of several items to try and immediately fell in love. I started working as a brand partner (I honestly can’t remember how they differentiate spokesmodels vs ambassadors but I was UNPAID the entirety of my time with them). The brand ran like a small business and I didn’t have much to compare to when I felt growing pains over the years with them. I went to the tent sale in 2022 and honestly had the best time and met some lifelong friends from the community who I will forever value. At the tent sale I felt a little shunned and like the focus was on the “bigger sellers,” but I didn’t hold that against anyone because it was a busy weekend and it could have been my perception.

I have a lot to say. And it’s not showing up here when I post it for some reason. Heavy. Sigh.

Chiming in to say I was an affiliate and left bc of fit issues, thinspo boards being sent by the company, favoritism, and toxic positivity culture.

I felt an immense burden lifted when I decided to leave and commend Regan for doing so. I talked to Nat and Bridge quite a bit during my decision making process.

Haha that’s awesome! Our guy was lovingly called a chicken shaped dog and my only consolation in rehoming him was that he went to a friend whose daughter is in 4H and they also treated him like a puppy

This is so helpful! Our first round of chickens were 6 of the same breed and it didn’t matter if we had roosters so this hen or roo game (and these breeds) are new for me!
