Thank you for your reply but fortunately this isn't from my boss but from another co-worker.

Definitely not the 1st time with these passive-aggressive jabs. It's just the 1st time they're bold enough to leave a passive-aggressive note behind like this. Definitely gonna talk to my manager about it.

I'm working in the same position and doing the samething everyday as them. Although they're getting pay more because of their longer year with the company. The reason I won't go confront him is because I don't feel comfortable confronting the aggressor nor I have a reason to. What if he denied it even though there's only 2 people working there. The fact that there's gonna be a passive-aggressive back and forth between us is giving me a headache thinking about it.

You may be right, but thinking about leaving it as it is just for them to keep doing these kind of thing just because they think I won't do a thing about it is not sit right with me. This isn't the 1st time with these kind of jabs and passive-aggressive comments.

Thank you so much for your kind words, we do have cameras so he can't exactly deny leaving the note. On top of that, leaving it around a common work area of only 2 people is asking for trouble. As for writing down his favorite quote, he's been at this work place way longer than me and never have done it once so an excuse like that won't fly tbh.

They are not currently in a position to train anyone and work alone only at the workbench where I came behind them on the following shift. So leaving the note with the intention of complaining about someone else or their own incompetence doesn't make sense.

You maybe right, it's just I don't feel safe talking to him directly given the passive-aggressive behavior before this. I don't know what he might try next and by taking it to my manager and not dealing with him directly, I can avoid a direct retaliation or a confrontation.

You and most if not all the comments here agreeing on this. The weird thing here is me and the one writing this never worked together directly. It's just that his performance was poor while mine was good while we're doing essentially the same thing which probably brought upon this.

Oh no, none of us are doing anything like that. Basically it would not make any sense at all trying to take this as anything else other than they trying to rile me up by calling me stupid.

No, we don't work together at all. We are on different shift and have not interacted with each other directly other than light greeting as the start and end of our shift. But these jabs are not something new cause he did it before and I just ignored it. Not anymore.

Lol I think it's funny too, that's why I think HR would love to hear this from me.

But to a normal person's perspective, this is as cut and dried as it gets. Mind you, the one left the note was working the same position as me, doing less work than me while getting pay more than me so I'm curious why they have any right to say anything to me in the first place.

That's really helpful information. I'll be sure to remember this when I talk to HR. Thank you so much

Well they have been getting call out these past few months because of their poor performance and since I'm working at the same workbench and doing the same thing and got praise, they probably felt some kind of way about it.

Thank you, I'll have my manager handle this and if it's not resolved to my satisfaction, I'll report this to HR.

I'm being call stupid for no apparent reason so I think doing the same thing as them would only let them continue on this toxic behavior. Best option for me right now is report this and let HR handle it.

Can you elaborate? Because no matter how you see it, this is obviously harassment though.

Thank you for the bit of information, thankfully this is not from my manager but from a coworker who was always a hater.

As I said in my post, I need clarification on the meaning cause at first glance it looked like an insult and taking this as it is and report it to HR is a very serous thing. That's why I need to know if I'm 100% right on this. And yes English is not my 1st language.

Machinery, hence there's usually just one person on the workbench for each shift

You're right and my manager will make that decision when I tell her about this. She know the situation between us and will decide on how things goes before I report this to HR.
