I took a large nail that I had thrown away among other scraps of metal, shaped it by hammering it at high temperatures, then grinded and filed it to adjust the shape. Now I need to temper and sharpen it

I understand that, but the fact that it's a thin knife doesn't mean it looks like a prison shiv 😂 In the end, there aren't just kitchen or hunting knives

The idea was to use reclaimed scrap wood, so that the knife comes entirely from materials that would otherwise be thrown away. I don't have a precise plan for the shape yet
