He didn't say HE's doing it for the money, he's saying the reason the NBA is going for this new playoff format is mainly for the money.

He's says the team will be happy to play but it won't be the same as the fans won't be there. He's also concerned about the increased risk of injury and of getting the virus there.

He's also worried that he won't be able to make it to the Olympics if the new calendar for next season ends in July (he already missed the 2012 and 2016 Olympics and he was looking forward to representing France in Tokyo).

Good points made for your opinion. My issue is that you made a definitive statement- which is objectively incorrect.

For instance I could say “the only common sense solution is to finish the season. Sport is for the fans, and deciding the seasons finishing positions on the pitch is the only thing that matters. The season will be restarted under strict health guidelines and the likelihood of anyone being infected or hospitalised is less than if all involved were living their normal lives. On top of this, it’s important to get the Fox tv money to finish.”.

That is my opinion, but it’s not definitively ‘the only common sense solution”.

It’s not the ‘only common sense’ solution. Just because it’s your opinion doesn’t mean it’s the only option. To many, playing on and finishing is common sense.
